摘要： An electronic storage box device that can be mounted on top of a dashboard of a vehicle, and can be opened quickly by a driver of the vehicle or a person standing outside the vehicle through a window of the vehicle. The electronic storage box device has a compartment for storing at least documents related to the vehicle including a driving license. Such documents can be retrieved by the driver while the hands remain visible to an officer or can be retrieved by the officer himself. The electronic storage box device also includes an audio playback feature, a video camera-based intrusion prevention feature, GPS, Wireless capabilities and a UV radiation feature for sterilizing items in the compartment. The device supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth® capabilities. The device can be retrofitted or installed at the time of manufacturing.

摘要： An adjustable device placement system of a vehicle includes a center console bin of an armrest. A separator wall within the center console bin divides the center console bin into a first section and a second section. An aperture has notches spaced vertically along the aperture. A position mechanism is disposed within the aperture. The position mechanism includes c-channels formed along lateral sides of the position mechanism and receives sides of the separator wall that define the aperture. The position mechanism remains in direct contact with the separator wall as the position mechanism slides vertically within the aperture. The position mechanism includes tabs that extend perpendicularly away from the separator wall and teeth that enter the notches, thereby locking the position mechanism into a position. A bottom portion extends a predetermined distance away from the separator wall and toward a front wall of the center console bin.

摘要： A relatively lightweight safe is provided in two embodiments with both embodiments being structured using nearly identical principles. The first embodiment is trapezoidal in shape to take advantage of the trapezoidal shaped space behind the hinged, bench-style seats of pickup trucks. The second embodiment is generally rectangular in shape and is adapted to be hidden underneath a removable dining bench-style seat or a bed of a recreational vehicle. The box-like housings of both embodiments are manufactured of a 12 gauge thick steel sheet metal. Around the hinged access door of each embodiment is a framework of steel tubing serving to provide a reinforced location to mount the door hinge and to provide reinforcement around the locked door. Each door and hinge is slightly recessed below the front surface of the steel tubing. Both embodiments use a combination lock mounted on the door for locking a door mounted lock handle assembly stationary. A crank and rod system is attached to the handle assembly in the interior of the door. The crank and rod system is further attached to, and actuates a multiple of lock pins extendable from two oppositely disposed edges of the door. Both embodiments are further lined in the interior with a first layer of mineral fiber heat and fire resistant material, and the mineral fiber is covered with a layer of carpet. The embodiment of the safe are both designed to be securely bolted with carriage bolts to the vehicle to prevent removal therefrom.

摘要： A storage turntable is comprised of a prism having spaced apart polygonal ends connected by a plurality of rectangular sides. Each of the sides provides a desired storage accessory such as a beverage container receptacle or a coin storage device. One side of the turntable is a plain planar surface which merely closes the opening. The console has a rectangular opening and the turntable is rotatably mounted within the opening by axles which extend from the polygonal ends of the prism and are rotatably journaled in bearing blocks attached to the console housing so that rotary movement of the prism sequentially registers a desired one of the storage accessories with the console opening for access by the vehicle occupant. A round thumb wheel is attached to the prism and extends above the surface of the console to provide a convenient means by which the turntable can be rotated. A detent is provided to retain the turntable at the selected position. The detent preferably includes a spring loaded button carried by the housing and riding against the end face of the thumb wheel to extend within one of a plurality of circumferentially spaced conical depressions to hold the turntable at a selected position.
