摘要： A rotary press comprising at least one pressing station having each of a vertically-adjustable upper and lower pressure roller, which are mounted by axes in the at least one pressing station. Cam-guided upper punches having punch heads are fed to the upper pressure roller by a control cam and a pull-up cam raises the upper punches to a highest point above a filling device. A vertically-adjustable safety cam is designed to be vertically adjustable in relation to the upper pressure roller. The rotary press may comprise a preliminary pressure cam, which is integrated in a guide block.

摘要： An apparatus for forming a generally cylindrical two-layer, vertically-compressed tablet having a longitudinal axis longer than its diameter is provided in which a generally cylindrical die cavity is provided on a die table with the longitudinal axis of the die cavity being vertically disposed. An upper punch provided above the die cavity rides on an upper cam assembly which controls the movement of the upper punch to and from the die cavity. A lower punch provided below the die cavity rides on a lower cam assembly which raises and lowers the lower punch relative to the die cavity. In operation, the lower punch is positioned and a first powder is added in a metered amount to the die cavity. The upper punch then tamps down the first powder within the die cavity. The lower punch is positioned to receive a metered amount of a second powder in the die cavity above the first powder. The powder in the die cavity is compressed by shifting pressure wheels which prevent the powders from adhering to the wall of the die cavity. After the powder is compressed to form a tablet, the tablet is ejected from die cavity and taken out an ejection chute.

摘要： A method of making two-layer tablets or pellets in a twin rotor pressing machine, in which method during a normal manufacturing period powdery or particulate material is fed into die bores of a die rotor so as to form first layers, said first layers are compressed in a first step by plungers synchronously rotating with the die rotor so as to form first layer pressed articles, the two layers within the die bores are compressed in a second step by said plungers so as to obtain two-layer tablets or pellets, and said two-layer tablets or pellets are removed at a main discharge station, and in which method during an inspection period first layer pressed articles removed at an intermediate discharge station or two-layer tablets or pellets removed at said main discharge station are fed to an inspection station, characterized in that during the inspection period said first layers are compressed more than in said first step during the normal manufacturing period before samples thereof are withdrawn at said intermediate discharge station, and in that the second layers are compressed and the resulting second layer pressed articles are fed either to a scrap path or to said inspection station at least after removal of said samples of the first layer pressed articles.
