摘要： Provided is a cutter apparatus for machining a difficult-to-machine material, the cutter apparatus including: a cutting tool body which has a fastening portion formed at a center thereof; one or more cutters which are installed on the cutting tool body, and have superhard insert tips fixed to end portions thereof, respectively; and an angle adjusting unit which is installed in an internal space of the cutters, and adjusts angles of the cutters by spreading or retracting the cutters, so that angles of the cutters may be easily adjusted in accordance with a condition for cutting a difficult-to-machine material, in order to prevent damage to the superhard insert tips when machining a difficult-to-machine material having high hardness and high toughness.

摘要： A milling cutter for chip machining is equipped with adjustable cutting inserts. The milling cutter comprises a tool body having a plurality of peripheral recesses. Each recess is adapted to receive a cutting insert, a support element for defining a support surface against which the insert abuts, an adjustment element for adjusting the position of the cutting insert in a first direction, and a wedge for securing the insert. The adjustment element is threadedly connected to the support element for rotation relative thereto when adjusting the insert. The support element could also include a rotatable portion for adjusting the insert in a second direction.

摘要： A flat and centrally apertured wafer-like insert of cutting material provides a plurality of angularly spaced available cutting tips and is located edgewise against angularly related abutments upstanding from the inner edge of a supporting surface or platform against which the insert is clamped in the final seating in a conical end of the insert aperture of the mating conical head of a screw extending through the insert aperture and threading into a hole in the platform. The insert aperture is larger than the screw shank, and the outer end of the screw hole axis is inclined relative to the axis of the insert cone at a small angle and toward the abutment corner. As a result and in the final tightening of the screw after edgewise camming of the insert against said abutments, the screw shank bends laterally to allow seating of the coned screw head in the insert recess around substantially the full peripheries of the mating cones.

摘要： There is disclosed an insert cutter which includes a tool body having a plurality of mounting recesses formed in an outer peripheral surface thereof and a plurality of cutter inserts each releasably secured to a respective one of the mounting recesses and a plurality of pressing members each received in a respective one of the holes. Each of the mounting recesses defines an abutment face facing axially forwardly of the tool body. The tool body has a plurality of holes formed in the outer peripheral surface thereof and extending radially inwardly thereof. Each of the holes has an inner wall and is displaced rearwardly of the tool body from a respective one of the mounting recesses. Each of the cutter inserts has a face held in contact with the abutment face of a respective one of the mounting recesses. Each pressing member is pressed against the inner wall of the hole, whereby that portion of the tool body between the hole and the mounting recess is elastically deformed.
