    • A heat sink for a drill press includes a main body having a receiving chamber which has a top provided with a limit tube, a guide unit mounted on the main body, and a sponge mounted in the main body. The guide unit includes an outer tube mounted on the receiving chamber and protruding from the limit tube, a plurality of inner tubes laminating each other and mounted in the outer tube, and a positioning tube mounted between the limit tube and the outer tube and abutting the inner tubes to position the inner tubes in the outer tube. Thus, the guide unit has an adjustable size by provision of the inner tubes and the outer tube so as to fit drill bits of different sizes and specifications, thereby enhancing the versatility of the heat sink.

    • A magnetic indexer for locating a device producing a magnetic field in a blind or inaccessible position of a work piece. A magnet is initially placed on a first side of the work piece such that a magnetic field produced by the magnet extends through the work piece and substantially perpendicular to a surface of the work piece. A device comprising a plurality of probes for sensing magnetic fields is then positioned over a second surface of the work piece. The probes are then moved over the second surface to determine the location of the axis of the magnet via the strength of the sensed magnetic field. Once the position of the axis of the magnet is determined, the work surface is either marked or worked on through the platform on which the probes are positioned. In particular, a hole may be accurately drilled or otherwise formed directly over the magnet even when the first surface of the work piece cannot be seen. Additionally, the present invention allows a very accurate positioning of a work tool on the second surface without the need to first visualize the first surface of the work piece.

    • A guide assembly for use with a rotating bit when forming an opening in a stone countertop. The assembly includes a base unit having an annular, resiliently flexible body with a ring-shaped suction cup at its lower end. The suction cup forms a seal about the bottom of the base unit that forms a reservoir for holding water during the cutting operation. A rigid ring-shaped insert is mounted in the resilient body and includes a plurality of upwardly projecting mounting pegs. Flat, disk-shaped guide bushings are interchangeably mountable to the pegs atop the base unit, and have central guide openings of different sizes for different sizes of bits. The guide bushings are formed of a rigid, low-friction material, such as a low-friction polymeric material.
