    • Disclosed is a bar feeder, which comprises a swing member designed to be swingably moved by a rotation shaft located above a guide rail. In normal mode, the swing member is kept in a standby in the vicinity of an upper position where the swing member is located to extend across and over a guide rail up to a bar rack. The swing member normally rotated to a lower position where the swing member is located on a far side from the bar rack with respect to the guide rail. During the process, the swing member receives a bar from the bar rack, and loads the bar to the guide rail. When a bar is removed from the guide rail, the movement of a bar to the swing member is inhibited by an inhibition member, and the swing member without a bar is moved to the lower position to create an ejection space between the rotation shaft and the bar rack. A device for loading a lathe with bars to be machined comprises a guide-bar device in form of a tube having two parts which can be opened for laterally introducing a new bar to be machined into the tube. The bar in the tube is fed by a hydraulically controlled push-piston. Pressure pistons press the two parts of the tube against each other in order to ensure a fluid tight seal. Return pistons are utilized radially move the upper part of the tube at the time of loading.

    • A part ejector is shown and described wherein a machined part in a CNC lathe is ejected from a spindle of the lathe by means of an air pressure differential. The part ejector includes inner and outer tubes that are coupled to, and aligned with a spindle collet. Machined parts are received within the inner tube and a pin tool moves a pin into the inner tube to pneumatically seal the inner tube and push a machined part past one or more air ports that pneumatically connect the inner tube with an air channel located between the inner and outer tubes. Pressurized air is applied to the air channel and the pin is partially retracted to uncover the air ports thus allowing the pressurized air to enter the inner tube and eject the machined part out.
