    • A thread rolling head comprises a bearing housing, in which at least two profile rollers, preferably at least three, are each rotatably mounted on an eccentric shaft. A shank is coupled to the housing, and adjacent profile rollers delimit an insertion section into which a workpiece can be longitudinally inserted. The bearing housing comprises two housing parts rotatable relative to each other to change the spacing between the profile rollers. An adjustment element interacts with one of the two housing parts and can rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof. Rotation of the adjustment element in a first direction causes rotation of the two housing parts in a third rotational direction, while its rotation in the second direction causes rotation of the housing parts in a fourth rotational direction counter to the third rotational direction. A display apparatus displays a change of the spacing between the profile rollers.

    • Radial roller head with rollers distributively arranged in a holder under the same angular separations and in axial separations around a roller axis, the roller surfaces of which have an increasing progression in a spiral manner around the circumference in the counter clockwise direction. A gear wheel drive couples the rollers together. A locking device automatically locks into place after each full roller rotation and is released before each roller procedure via a moveable locking element. A drive device turns the rollers after release of the locking device up to the contact of the roller surfaces with a tool, in order to then be further turned through friction therewith. An electromagnet connected with the locking element, is arranged in the radial roller head with an electrical energy source and a switch connecting the energy source with the electromagnets when the switch is actuated via the work piece or another actuating device.

    • The present invention relates to a radial milling head, in particular for thread milling, comprising a casing, a plurality of peripherally spaced rollers which are equidistantly arranged about a center axis of said casing and which are rotatably supported in said casing, a gear wheel each secured to a respective roller, a central gear wheel mashing with said roller gear wheels, said rollers including a peripheral working surface, having a diameter spirally increasing for working the workpiece, a locking means including a spring biased locking member and a release means for releasing said locking member to initianally rotate said rollers into frictional engagement with the workpiece by a rotational movement of said spring biased locking member, whereupon said rollers are further rotated by frictional engagement with said workpiece until the locking member and said rollers are locked again after having performed a full rotation. According to the invention a trip member is provided which is slidably arranged concentrically with respect to said center axis of said casing, said trip member cooperating through a linkage mechanism with said release member to initiate a full rotation of said rollers, when said trip member is axially displaced by a workpiece entering between said rollers. The present invention provides for an automatical release of the working cycle, when a workpiece enters the milling head, as the release mechanism is actuated by the workpiece through a linkage mechanism.
