    • Device and method for the automatic formation of packs of panels of electro-welded mesh. The device is arranged downstream of a production machine provided with a work plane. The device is provided with an expulsion element which arranges the panels emerging from the machine onto an accumulation plane located as an extension to the work plane of the machine, a turnover device which turns over every other panel with respect to the position in which it exits the machine, and a discharge device to discharge the panels. The device also comprises a switching device arranged downstream of the expulsion device in order to direct alternately, and substantially continuously, at least one panel either directly towards the accumulation plane or towards the turnover device.

    • Apparatus for forming a closed loop object such as a pipe reinforcing cage from wire fabric includes an infeed carriage assembly receiving sections of wire fabric and transporting the fabric to a pair of gripping assemblies. Each gripping assembly includes rotatable gripping jaws mounted on a slide in turn positioned on a carriage for motion toward and away from each other such that opposite ends of the fabric can be brought together while rotating the gripping jaws to form a cylindrical cage. Speed control means are provided for assuring the gripping jaws advance toward each other in synchronism with the rotation of the jaws thereby forming a perfect cylindrical cage. Welding means are provided for welding the ends of the cage so formed while held in position by the gripping jaws.

    • A reenforcing wire mesh placement apparatus is provided having a rotating spindle for placing a roll of tightly wound wire mesh for reenforcing concrete, or the like, and haVing a decontouring drum rotatably connected for unravelling the wire in a manner to decontour and flatten the rolled wire. A frame is provided which has lifting means for lifting the apparatus for the placement of wire mesh at various levels of a multi-levelled building during construction. A guard is also provided for flattening uneven spots in the wire mesh during the decontouring operation and the frame has several operable positions for working in different positions or for movement between locations. The frame can also be provided with wheels and can be power-actuated and may be connected to the work table for cutting and bending the wire mesh as desired. A power operated enlarged drum may also be added for holding the decontoured wire until ready for use or for rewinding the decontoured wire into an enlarged roll for ease in working therewith.
