摘要： Methods and systems for detecting foreign material within a product stream in real-time, involve illuminating a portion of the agricultural product stream with light spanning a wavelength range including or within near-infrared and/or shortwave infrared wavelengths; scanning a line of the illuminated agricultural product stream to acquire a hyperspectral image of the line, the hyperspectral image of the line having a width of a single pixel; processing the hyperspectral image of the scanned line to obtain spectrum data for one or more pixels of the hyperspectral image of the scanned line; comparing the obtained spectrum data of the one or more pixels to predetermined spectrum data to determine whether the obtained spectrum data is indicative of foreign material within the scanned line of the agricultural product stream.

摘要： The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for sorting reusable raw-material pieces (5) which are moved continually in conveying direction (2) by a transport means (1), where the chemical composition of the raw-material pieces (5) is analyzed by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and automated sorting of the raw-material pieces (5) is implemented depending on the composition found, where the raw-material pieces (5) in a first step are subjected to a plurality of first laser pulses (6) in order to remove surface coatings and/or contaminants from the raw-material pieces (5), and in a second step, one or more second laser pulses (7) are directed at those locations of the raw-material pieces (5) from which the surface coatings and/or contaminants have been removed, with exposed material of the raw-material pieces (5) being converted by the second laser pulses (7) into a plasma, where the laser (3) used for the first and second laser pulses (6, 7) is the same, and the area of the raw-material pieces (5) over which the first laser pulses (6) are moved and which is freed from surface coatings and/or contaminants is greater than the area of the raw-material pieces (5) that is embraced by the second laser pulses (7), the focal diameter and the focal point of the laser beam being kept constant between the first and second laser pulses (6, 7). In this way it is possible, utilizing only one laser, to achieve undistorted analysis of the composition of the raw-material pieces (5) and to perform sorting in dependence on said analysis.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for sorting scrap metal containing at least two categories of metals are provided. An x-ray beam is directed towards at least a portion of a particle of scrap metal. Backscattered x-rays, forward scattered x-rays, and transmitted x-rays from the particle are measured and input into a classifier, such as a database with a cutoff plane. The scrap metal is sorted into a first category and a second category on the scrap metal by a controller. An x-ray source for a scanning system is provided with an electron beam generator, an electromagnetic beam focusing coil, a pair of saddle shaped beam steering coils, and a target foil to create a scanning x-ray beam along a plane.

A manifold part is provided with a plurality of electromagnetic valves that communicate with an air space communicating with a compressed air source and in which a plurality of air flow paths for supplying compressed air to the corresponding air flow paths in the nozzle part by the operation of the respective electromagnetic valves are formed. The nozzle part and the manifold part are separably integrated while open surfaces of the air flow paths in the nozzle part and open surfaces of the air flow paths in the manifold part are brought into contact with each other.
