The composition comprises a compound having the following formula: (SiO2)x(OH)yF.B wherein F optionally exists and said F is at least one of the following: a functionalized organosilane, a sulfur-containing organosilane, or an amine-containing organosilane; and wherein B is a hygroscopic solid at a preferred water to solid molar ration of about 0.1 to about 6, and more particularly, B is a basic inorganic solid including, but not limiting to, alkali to alkali-earth metal oxides, hydroxides, carbonates, or bicarbonates, containing at least one of the following metal cations: calcium, magnesium, strontium, barium, sodium, lithium, potassium, cesium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, dysprosium, scandium, ytterbium, yttrium, or erbrium; wherein the molar ration of y/x is equal to about 0.01 to about 0.5.

摘要： A treatment method for coal fly ash, and in particular sodic fly ash, comprises 1) contacting the coal fly ash with anhydrite, and 2) contacting the coal fly ash in the presence of water with at least one additive. The material obtained from the contacting steps (1) and (2) may be dried. The steps (1) and (2) may be carried simultaneously or sequentially. The additive may comprise at least one component selected from the group consisting of strontium-containing compounds, barium-containing compounds, dolomite, a dolomite derivative such as calcined or hydrated dolomite, water-soluble sources of silicate such as sodium or potassium silicate, iron-containing compounds, and any combinations thereof. A particularly preferred additive comprises sodium silicate. The method may be effective in reducing the sodium content in the fly ash (Na2O), reducing the alkalinity of the fly ash, and/or stabilizing at least one heavy metal such as selenium and/or arsenic to reduce their leachability.

摘要： A system for utilizing solar energy for home utility supply includes an air collector coupled to a solar module disposed to collect ambient air carrying thermal energy generated from the solar module. The system includes an energy transfer module (ETM) comprising a first heat-exchanger configured to process a first air stream from the air collector and output a second air stream carrying a portion of the thermal energy. Additionally, the system includes an air-conditioning module for processing a third air stream from interior space. The system includes an air processor comprising a desiccant material to pre-condition the third air stream utilizing the second air stream in the ETM and form a fourth air stream for the air-conditioning module and a fifth air stream in the ETM. Furthermore, the system uses a second heat-exchanger to process the fourth air stream and form a six air stream with reduced temperature and humidity.
