摘要： Pump systems for use in suspension of a prosthetic device from a residual limb and methods of suspending a prosthetic device from a residual limb are disclosed. The pump systems include a mechanically activated pump having a first compression member coupled to a second compression member, a compressible bladder disposed between the first and second compression members, and coupling elements that engage and couple together the first and second compression members. The mechanically activated pump may be connected with an electrically activated pump within a fluid circuit of a hybrid pump system to provide vacuum engagement between a prosthetic device and a residual limb.

摘要： A prosthetic knee for active users has a locking head generally parallel to a vertical axis of the prosthetic knee, a chassis, and a plurality of links connecting the locking head to the chassis. The knee includes a swing control mechanism having a flexion stop connected to the chassis and arranged to control the flexion angle of the knee. The flexion stop extends outwardly from the chassis and obliquely relative to the vertical axis. The knee has an audible feedback mechanism for providing the user with information about the location of the knee. The knee may also have a block lock forming a manually activated mechanism allowing load bearing in a flexed position.

The sensors are connected to an amplifier unit that is connected to a headphone unit with a left speaker and a right speaker. The left and finger is moved against a surface to activate the left sensor to send a first activation signal to the amplifier unit that sends a first sound signal only to the left speaker but nothing to the right speaker so the user know the left finger is moved. The right finger is moved against the surface so that the right sensor sends a second sound signal only to the right speaker but nothing to the left speaker.

The interior of the prosthetic socket can be adapted to receive a residual limb. The vacuum passage can extend through the side wall of the prosthetic socket and into the interior of the prosthetic socket. The evacuation device can include an electrically powered vacuum pump contained within a housing. The housing can be attached to the side wall on the exterior of the prosthetic socket. The electrically powered vacuum pump can be in communication with the vacuum passage. The electrically powered vacuum pump can draw air from the interior of the prosthetic socket, while the residual limb is received within the interior of the prosthetic socket, to evacuate the prosthetic socket.
