摘要： A dental assembly includes a prosthesis having a base and a plurality of artificial teeth, and at least one connecting element coupled to the prosthesis and configured to facilitate coupling of the dental assembly to a patient's oral cavity. The at least one connecting element includes a cylinder with a body having a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first and second ends. The connecting element further includes an opening through a sidewall of the cylinder that is open to the passageway. The slot allows access to a fixation screw positioned in the cylinder from a direction that is angled relative to an axis of the cylinder. A method of making a dental assembly is also disclosed.

The fixture has a top opening portion, a bottom closed portion, an inner surface portion, an outer surface portion, and a central hole portion surrounded by the inner surface portion. The plurality of protrusions are provided on the inner surface portion of the fixture at locations of substantially same heights from the bottom closed portion and with even circumferential intervals, and each of the plurality of protrusions comprises a vertical stop and a bottom edge. The abutment comprises an upper cylindrical portion, a middle connecting portion extending from the top cylindrical portion, and a lower engaging portion extending from the middle connecting portion. The lower engaging portion of the abutment is configured to be received into the central hole portion surrounded by the protrusions and engage with the protrusions.

摘要： A cradle, assembly, system and method for installing a prosthesis at a surgical site. The cradle temporarily engages the prosthesis and holds it in the correct orientation and position adjacent the surgical site. An aperture is defined in the cradle and a portion of the prosthesis is received therein. In one embodiment, the cradle, assembly and system are used to install a final dental prosthesis in a patient's mouth in a single visit to the dentist's office. A securement member pins the surgical template and subsequently the cradle to the jaw. A metal sub-structure on the final dental prosthesis is received in the aperture in the cradle. Cylinders attached to implants anchored in the jaw extend through holes in the sub-structure and are bonded to the prosthesis. The cradle is detached from the jaw and from the prosthesis prior to screws being re-inserted through the cylinders and into the implants.
