摘要： A grinding head of a grinder is provided with a knife assembly that includes a knife holder with a number of arms, each having a knife insert slot, for receiving a matching number of knife inserts. The knife inserts have a blade or cutting edge and a bottom edge. The bottom edge, rather than being a straight edge, is shaped to define a pair of bearing portions that fit within the slot of the knife holder arm and allow the knife insert to be firmly retained in the slot. A recessed area is located between the bearing portions. The recessed area accommodates any imperfections in the floor of the insert slot, and provides a void area within which any material contained within the slot can be received when the knife insert is engaged within the slot.

摘要： An herb cutter having interchangeable grates and matching blades that includes a top chamber for holding herbs before cutting, a bottom chamber for holding herbs after cutting, and a grate positioned between the chambers is disclosed. The grate has multiple slots, each with at least one sharp or serrated edge. A rotatable rod extends across the grate, with a crank and handle connected to it. Multiple blades are attached to the rod, fitting within the slots to cut the herbs when the handle, crank, and rod are rotated. The slots and blades have corresponding lengths. The grate is a circular plate, and each blade is serrated with a central hole fitted about the rod. The cutter also includes spacers separating the blades, a middle shell and a lower funnel retaining the grate, and a lid covering the top chamber. The grate and blades are interchangeable.

摘要： A grinder is provided that generally comprises a rotor that is at least partially disposed within a housing. Materials such as tobacco, herb, spices, or food is loaded into the housing, and a user turns the rotor relative to the housing to drive protrusions such as blades extending from a shaft of the rotor into the tobacco, herb, spices, or food. This grinds the contents into smaller pieces. A funnel portion at a lower end of the grinder can dispense the smaller, ground pieces for subsequent use. Some embodiments of the grinder include a rotatable sleeve to selectively open and close access to the housing of the grinder. Various embodiments of the grinder include a divider and an auger to allow only sufficiently ground pieces of contents to be dispensed from the grinder.
