    • A root and soil separator and root windrowing apparatus to be attached to a conventional root plow, which plow is pulled behind a tractor, so as the plow cuts the roots of trees and brush, the roots and soil will be directed onto a series of power driven, rotary beater blade elements, the circular paths of which beater blades pass between the paths of the blades on adjacent shafts, so as to separate the roots from the soil and move the roots rearwardly into a catcher element, which roots may be dumped from the catcher periodically, as in windrows, to enable the roots to be burned or to be hauled away. Provision is made to journal shafts in the frame of the root and soil separator at each end of each transverse, rotary beater blade, which shafts are connected in non-rigid, non-rotatable relation with respect to the transverse beater blade shaft. The root and soil separator is provided with an independent prime mover to rotate the transverse beater blade shafts.

    • This rock picker invention is a towable farm implement which is capable of removing rocks from a farm field. A plurality of buckets scoop up quantities of soil as the rock picker is towed by a tractor. The buckets are mounted on a pair of cables which pass over guide wheels. The cables are forced to move by a power source so that the buckets are forced into, across and out of the ground. The guide wheels are mounted on axles on a conveyor frame which allows the buckets and cables to be lifted to a transport position and which allows the angle of attack between the buckets and the ground surface to be varied. The buckets are equipped with openings and shaped such that soil falls from the buckets when the buckets are lifted. The cables are guided such that the buckets are caused to invert and dump the rocks collected into a hopper. The hopper is equipped with a lifting linkage to allow transfer and disposal of rocks collected. The rock picker is equipped with forwardly mounted harrows and gathering sections that aid in the collection of rocks.

    • A root crop harvester includes a main frame, a plurality of digger wheels on the front of the main frame, conveyor means supported on the frame to receive roots from the digger wheels and deliver the same to a transversely extending auger conveyor which moves the roots to a vertical auger conveyor. An additional conveyor mounted on the upper end of the vertical auger conveyor in a root-receiving relationship therewith moves the roots laterally outwardly for deposit in a vehicle moving alongside the harvester or laterally inwardly. A tank attachment is securable to the main frame of the harvester in a position such that a portion of the tank extends under the inner end of the additional conveyor to receive roots deposited over the inner end of the additional conveyor. An unloader conveyor for the tank delivers the roots back to the additional conveyor which will move the roots laterally outwardly for deposit into the vehicle moving alongside the harvester.
