摘要： A transponder-reader payment system includes a fob including a transponder, and a RFID reader for interrogating the transponder. The system may further include a personalization system for populating onto the fob and RFID reader identifying information and security and authentication keys which may be used during mutual authentication of the fob and the reader and for completing a transaction. In exemplary operation, the fob and RFID reader may be personalized, the fob may be presented to the RFID reader for interrogation, the fob and reader may engage in mutual authentication, and fob identifying information may be provided to the reader for transaction completion. In another exemplary embodiment, operation of the transponder-reader payment system may be controlled by an activation circuit. Further, the fob may be responsive to multiple interrogation signals.

摘要： A process for providing an RF module configured to convert a nontraditional transaction device for traditional transaction completion is disclosed. The RF module is placed in physical and logical communication with a microprocessor of a nontraditional transaction device for providing user account information to the microprocessor and for receiving data from a RFID reader, kiosk or personal computer. The microprocessor is configured to activate operation of the RF module prior to transaction processing. The RF module may also receive secondary identification information, such as, a PIN, voice recognition data or biometric data for secondary end user authentication. The RF module may also transmit user account data for transaction processing using a USB interface of the nontraditional transaction device.

摘要： In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, an authorized sample receiver (ASR) comprises a processor that is configured to verify biometric sample data in order to create registered biometric sample data. The ASR may also comprise a communications device configured to receive a transaction request from an RF transaction device, wherein the transaction request comprises transaction biometric sample data, a reload protocol update request, and an RF device identification code. The ASR may also be configured to authorize the transaction request in response to the transaction biometric sample data substantially matching the registered biometric sample data. The ASR may further comprise a reload protocol data file associated with the device identification code, and the reload protocol data file may be configured to be updated in accordance with the reload protocol update request.
