    • A dry food acidulent composition, reminiscent of vinegar when hydrated, comprises a dry food acid, a buffering salt and a fully dissociatable salt. The dry food acid preferably comprises adipic, citric, fumaric, malic acid or a mixture. The buffering salt is preferably a sodium or potassium salt of a food-grade acid such as sodium citrate, potassium citrate, disodium phosphate, dipostassium phosphate, and mixtures. The fully dissociatable salt is preferably sodium chloride or potassium chloride. The preferred weight ratio of the buffering salt to the acid is within the range of from about 0.1:1 to about 0.3:1, that of the fully dissociatable salt to the acid is within the range of from about 1:1 to about 6:1, and that of the fully dissociatable salt to the buffering salt is within the range of from about 10:1 to about 30:1. These compositions are admixed with other dry ingredients to prepare dry sauce and dressing mixes.

    • An actuator housing securely attached to a back wall of a rotary helm unit mounted below the dashboard of a watercraft provides a mechanism for automatic control of the watercraft's rudder. The actuator housing encloses a wheel shaft extension passing through an axial bore in a back wall of the rotary helm unit. A first end of the wheel shaft extension within the actuator housing has a drilled out core containing a spring. The spring exerts a force against a pusher shaft axially aligned with the wheel shaft extension. A transverse pin integral with the pusher shaft is located adjacent a gear affixed to the pusher shaft. When the spring is overcome by a contra force exerted on the pusher shaft, the transverse pin seats within two oppositely positioned grooves on the wheel shaft extension and causes the wheel shaft to turn in response to a system of gears activated by an electric motor mounted adjacent the actuator housing. Turning of the wheel shaft extension activates a gear system within the rotary helm unit that moves the watercraft's rudder cables.

    • The present invention relates to expansion tools where two ends of a workpiece are to be grasped and controlled to permit ease of and safety in workpiece manipulation for installation or removal. Workpieces of specific interest include brake retaining springs used in the Rockwell Q-Series Brake. The spring shanks in retaining springs used in the Rockwell Q-Series Brake present an inline shoulder. The jaws and upstanding arm of the present invention are particularly adapted to receive an inline shoulder of a such a retaining spring and to provide spring control and ease and safety in manipulation and installation not presently realized or offered in other expansion tools.

    • A wall-unit hanging system for hanging shelves, cabinets, drawers or the like on a wall is described. The system includes a mounting rail and one or more vertical panels. Each vertical panel has a cut-out portion and an associated bracket for securing the vertical panel to the mounting rail. The vertical panel is secured to the mounting rail by moving the panel perpendicularly with respect to the wall until the panel is flushed with the wall and the cut-out portion has received the mounting rail. The mounting bracket engages a projection in the mounting rail in order to secure the vertical panels to the mounting rail.
