    • A sealed electrical receptacle connector, either male or female, includes, in combination, a bushing and a shell threadably coupled together in an end-to-end manner. The bushing is adapted to receive a cable having plural conductors arranged in a spaced manner and separated from another along their respective lengths by an elongated nonconductive insert having plural radially extending spaced members, each disposed between a pair of adjacent conductors. A split washer is disposed between and in abutting contact with adjacent inner end portions of the receptacle and the shell and includes a slot extending therethrough. The split washer facilitates receptacle connector assembly and its slot is adapted to receive the plural conductors and an elongated axial strength member, such as a multi-strand steel cable, disposed within and along the length of the nonconductive insert to provide the receptacle connector and cable combination with high strength.

    • A portable test meter is disclosed for measuring, calculating, recording and monitoring significant system parameters for a local communication network of the type used in industrial automation applications. The meter is disclosed in the context of a network employing the DeviceNet protocol. For each network parameter of interest, a rotary switch selects a desired one for display. An auto search mode selectable by the operator, increments through selected network parameters and compares measured or calculated values against stored data representing acceptable, marginal, or unacceptable conditions, and an associated visual indicia is displayed for each unacceptable or margin condition detected.

    • An inline indicating interconnect having a female multi-pin socket connection at a first end and a multi-pin male/male connection and a second, opposed end includes a circuit electrically coupled to and disposed intermediate to the female and male connector ends. The circuit includes at least one light emitting diode (LED) for emitting light when a given electrical condition is satisfied. A generally cylindrical interconnect body comprised of a light-transmissive, moldable material is connected at its respective ends to the female and male connections and overmolded about the circuit components and leads attached thereto so as to encapsulate, seal and provide support for the circuit components and leads while permitting viewing of the emitted light about the entire 360.degree. circumference of the interconnect body. The inline indicating interconnect is particularly adapted for installation in existing cable connections and junctions to provide a visual indication of electrical operation or circuit status.
