    • A multilayer, thermoplastic roll wrap film containing at least three polymeric film layers and comprised of an outer cling layer, a non-cling outer layer, and at least one inner polymeric layer. The roll wrap film has at least one inner polymeric layer, located between the outer cling layer and then non-cling outer layer. The non-cling outer layer is preferably comprised of a high pressure, low density polyethylene resin having a melt index of from about 0.5 to about 6. The inner polymeric layer comprises a low polydispersity polymer. The low polydispersity polymer has a polydispersity of from about 1 to about 4, a melt index (I.sub.2) of from about 0.5 to about 10 g/10 min., and a melt flow ratio (I.sub.20 /I.sub.2) of from about 12 to about 22. The roll wrap film has a transverse tear resistance of at least 400 grams/mil as measured by ASTM D1922, a machine direction tear resistance as measured by ASTM D1922 of at least 150 grams/mil and a F-50 dart drop of at least 600 grams. It is contemplated that additional layers may be added to the present invention.

    • A method of forming a plurality of easy to open handle bags including the steps of providing a flattened tube of thermoplastic material oriented in a generally longitudinal direction. The flattened tube has a first longitudinal side edge and a second longitudinal side edge, a transverse lower heat seal, and a transverse upper heat seal. The tube also has first, second, and third sections. The second section being disposed between the first and third sections. The first section is joined to the second section along a generally longitudinal first fold line. The second section is joined to the third section along a generally longitudinal second fold line. The second section is cut along a generally transverse first cut line extending between the first and second fold lines. The first section is folded over the second section along the first fold line. The third section is folded over the previously folded-over first section along the second fold line such that the first, second, and third sections overlap one another. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are cut along a generally longitudinal second cut line that intersects the first cut line, the first fold line, and the second side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are then cut along a generally longitudinal third cut line that intersects the first cut line, the second fold line, and the first side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end.

    • A one-piece, flip-top reclosable container embodying the present invention includes an outer carton having opposing top and bottom walls, front and back walls, and first and second side walls. The first and second side walls and the front wall include a preferential area of weakness for opening the carton from a sealed form to an unsealed form. The preferential area of weakness forms a lid hingedly connected to the top wall. The top wall includes a front top minor flap hingedly connected to an upper end of the front wall. An internal collar is integrally formed with the front top minor flap. The internal collar is disposed within the carton when the carton is in the sealed form. The internal collar includes a front panel and opposing first and second side panels adjacent to the respective front wall and the opposing first and second side walls of the carton. The front panel of the internal collar is detachably connected to the front top minor flap along at least one horizontal fold line. The internal collar optionally includes an extension flap comprised of at least one hinged portion and at least one island portion disposed in forcibly displaceable mutual engagement such that opening the lid exerts a force which disengages the mutual engagement and closing the lid leads to snap re-engagement of the hinged portion and the island portion.

    • A multilayer, thermoplastic stretch wrap film containing at least four polymeric film layers and comprised of a first outer cling layer, a second outer cling layer, at least one inner polymeric layer and at least one core layer. The first and second layers have a cling force to s each other of at least about 140 grams/inch. The stretch wrap film has at least one inner polymeric layer, located between the first and second layers. The inner polymeric layer comprises a low polydispersity polymer. The low polydispersity polymer has a polydispersity of from about 1 to about 4, a melt index (I.sub.2) of from about 0.5 to about 10 g/10 min., and a melt flow ratio (I.sub.20 /I.sub.2) of from about 12 to about 22. The core layer, also located between the outer cling layers, comprises either a random copolymer of propylene and ethylene, a heterophasic copolymer of propylene with domains of ethylene interspersed, a polypropylene homopolymer, or blends thereof. The random ethylene-propylene copolymer has a melt flow ratio of from about 2 to about 15 and an ethylene content in the range of from about 2 to about 6 wt. % of the propylene copolymer. The heterophasic copolymer has a melt flow ratio of about 10 to about 18 and an ethylene content in the range of from about 12 to 30 wt. % of the heterophasic propylene. The polypropylene homopolymer has a melt flow ratio of from about 2 to about 15. The multilayer stretch wrap film has a maximum stretch of at least 340% and a machine direction stress force @ 200% elongation of between about 1400 and about 1900 psi. It is contemplated that additional layers may be added to the present invention.
