    • A measuring canister including a bottom and a side wall connected to the bottom defining an interior of the canister, a partition dividing the interior into a storage compartment and a measuring dispensing compartment, and an upwardly domed cover including a dispensing orifice removably attached to an upper margin of the side wall so that the dispensing orifice is located only over the measuring dispensing compartment. A closure is slidably disposed inside the cover, and is movable between an open position allowing material to be dispensed from the measuring dispensing compartment and a closed position preventing the material from being dispensed. The closure includes an inside surface for facilitating material exchange between the storage and measuring dispensing compartments while the closure is in the closed position, and a downwardly depending flange having a lower margin which is proximate to an upper margin of the partition, for preventing material from being exchanged between the storage and the measuring dispensing compartments while the closure is in the open position. A manually operable tab projects upward from the closure through the dispensing orifice to assist in displacing the closure between the open and closed positions.

    • A measuring/dispensing cap adapted for attachment to an open, upper end of a container includes a top and a peripheral skirt extending downwardly from the top. A weir panel separates the peripheral skirt into upper and lower sections, the upper section comprising a measuring chamber defined by the top, the upper section of the skirt and the weir panel. The lower section includes screw threads for attaching the cap to the open upper end of the container. The weir panel is formed with a weir aperture on one side of a diametrical centerline extending across the panel, the weir aperture defined in part by a weir edge extending parallel to and spaced from the centerline. The top includes a dispensing door pivotally secured to the skirt and having a hinge axis parallel to the centerline and the weir edge. A portion of the door opposite the hinge lies on the other side of the diametrical centerline. A sifter disk underlies the weir panel and is rotatable relative thereto. The weir panel includes a cut out and a plurality of sifter apertures allowing the user to choose a non-sifting or sifting mode of operation by rotating either the cut out or the sifting apertures into alignment with the weir aperture.

    • A dispenser cap for discharging measured amounts of contents from a container includes a first peripheral skirt having upper and lower portions, the lower portion serving to secure the cap to a container. The upper skirt portion at least partially defines a dispensing chamber primarily in the upper portion of the first peripheral skirt, as further defined by a weir panel, the weir panel configured to provide a weir opening between the upper and lower cap skirt portions. A top for the cap includes a second peripheral skirt telescoped over and secured to the first peripheral skirt, wherein the first and second peripheral skirts have alignable first and second respective discharge apertures formed therein. The first discharge aperture in the first peripheral skirt is diametrically opposed to the weir opening so that additional container contents are not spilled into the dispensing chamber during dispensing of the measured amount.
