摘要： A disposable, securely retained dental angle is provided. The angle includes a one-piece hollow housing having a short leg at its front end, which is angled with respect to the long leg. Both the short and long legs have a through bore. The short leg has an aperture, which is connected to the bore of the long leg to allow insertion of a driving shaft through the short leg of the angle. A driven rotor is inserted in the short leg. A horse-shoe-like snap rotor retainer fits within the short leg over the driven rotor to retain the driven rotor in the angle. A paw-like or, alternately, a horse-shoe-like locking means fits within the long leg over the driving shaft to lock the driving shaft in the angle and to retain the angle together. In one embodiment, a pair of splinters on the driven rotor provides the function to retain the rubber prophy cup firmly while the driven rotor is in operation.

摘要： The present invention provides an air driven dental handpiece device with a back end configured to receive an air and water supply; a handpiece body having an air intake tube and a water line tube carrying air and water respectively through the device; and a head receiving air to power the device's dental spindle. The head securely blocks air from leaking and returns the air through a large air return exhaust port back through the inside of the body and out a rear air exhaust assembly including a plurality of exhaust air holes and/or an air return exhaust port. The device helps eliminate a patient's sensitivity and discomfort, helps eliminate the risk of surgical air emphysema, as well as helps eliminate any cross contamination during oral surgical procedures.

摘要： The invention relates to nano-sized complexes formed by associating amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and/or amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (ACFP) with an amphiphilic polymer surfactant. The amphiphilic polymer surfactants can form nano-sized assemblies in aqueous solution, serving as a nano dispersant preventing ACP and/or ACFP from aggregation, and as a nano carrier associating or attaching ACP and/or ACFP, stabilizing ACP and/or ACFP against the conversion to a crystalline form as well, thus maintaining calcium and phosphate/and fluoride ions in a bioavailable state for dental re-mineralization and prevention of dental caries, dental calculus and dental hyper-sensitivity. A method for the nano-sized complex preparation and compositions comprising the nano-sized complexes are also provided.
