    • A video signal recording/reproducing apparatus has two main rotary heads, two sub-rotary heads, and a recorded video tape. One main rotary head M1 has a +6.degree. azimuth angle and one sub-rotary head S1 has a -6.degree. azimuth angle. The sub-rotary head S1 is mounted near the main rotary head M1. For example, the distance between the main rotary head M1 and the sub-rotary head S1 corresponds to two horizontal sync signal intervals of a video signal. Main rotary head M2 has a -6.degree. azimuth angle and sub-rotary head S2 has a +6.degree. azimuth angle. The distance between the main rotary head M2 and the sub-rotary head S2 is the same as that between M1 and S1. The main rotary head M2 is located at a position opposite to the main rotary head M1 on a rotary head disk. In the fast motion reproduction mode, the main rotary head M1 and the sub-rotary head S1 scan recorded video tracks on the video tape. The reproduced signal of the main rotary head M1 has several lower or zero level positions in one field. The reproduced signal of the sub-rotary head S1 is selectively substituted for the lower or zero level positions of the reproduced signal of the main rotary head M1.

    • A Plasma Display Panel includes a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel includes a display electrode and a dielectric layer on a glass substrate. The rear panel includes a barrier rib and a phosphor layer on a substrate. The front panel and the rear panel are arranged to face each other, and the peripheries thereof are sealed to form a discharge space therebetween. The display electrode is constituted of multiple layers including at least a metal electrode layer containing silver and a glass material. A content of bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) in the dielectric layer is in a range from 5% to 25% inclusive by weight, and a content of bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) in the glass material of the metal electrode layer is in range from 5% to 25% inclusive by weight.

    • A radio transmitting apparatus wherein when both a first data and a second data, which has a greater importance than the first data, are placed in a single block, the BER characteristic of the second data can be well maintained. In this apparatus, a modulating part (101-1) modulates a first data sequence to generate a first data symbol, while a modulating part (101-2) modulates a second data sequence to generate a second data symbol. A placing part (102) places both the first data symbol and the second data sequence in each of blocks constituting a single carrier signal. At this moment, the placing part (102) places, in the single block, the first data at both ends of the block, while placing the second data, which has the greater importance than the first data, at the center of the block. A CP adding part (103) adds, to the head of the block in which the first and second data symbols are placed, a rear end portion of that block as CP.
