摘要： A vented eyeglass frame is provided having a front frame extending laterally from a first end to a second end and for connecting to a temple at each of the first end and the second end. The front frame has first and second lens openings, with each lens opening being defined by a respective opening boundary at least partially circumscribing the corresponding lens opening. A bridge is defined between the first and second lens openings, and outer vents are provided at each end adjacent the corresponding lens openings. Inner vents are then provided at the bridge adjacent the lens openings. The lens opening boundaries each have a lens channel for at least partially enveloping a lens located at the respective lens opening, and each vent is defined by a gap in the corresponding lens opening.

A first lens is secured in the first sub-frame and a second lens is secured in the second sub-frame. A first eye-piece and a second eye-piece are arranged adjacent to the first sub-frame and the second sub-frame, respectively. A third lens is secured in the first eye-piece and a fourth lens is secured in the second eye-piece. A first connecting member and a second connecting member releasably secure the first eye-piece and the second eye-piece to the first and the second sub-frames, respectively. At least one of the third and the fourth lens may take the form of a corrective lens.

摘要： The present invention provides an eyewear frame assembly. A frame has an aperture for receiving a lens. The frame has a split to expand upper and lower portions of the frame to insert or remove the lens from the aperture. First and second projections extend outwardly from the upper and lower frame portions, respectively. The first and second projections have first and second tapered portions, respectively. A sleeve receives said first and second projections. The sleeve has first and second inwardly extending and tapered tabs adapted to receive the first and second tapered portions to secure the first and second projections within the sleeve. The upper and lower portions of the frame are prevented from expanding when the first and second projections are received within the sleeve. First and second openings in the sleeve provide access to depress the first and second projections to remove the first and second projections from the first and second sleeves. A threaded fastener and a threaded sleeve forms a reinforcement assembly for the two portions of the split frame. The sleeve engages the fastener to resist its disengagement with the bushing.
