    • A golf bag carrying system, in the form of a triple strap carrier, includes a first and a second strap secured to the golf bag to define first and second shoulder openings, respectively. The first strap second end and the second strap first end are attached to a first ring, and the second strap is led through a second ring at a central (second) location at a mid-portion of the bag. The other ends of the first and second straps are secured to the golf bag longitudinally on opposite sides of the second location at first and third locations, respectively. A third strap is attached to the first ring and to the bag at a fourth location below the third location. The mounts for securing the straps to the bag, and the straps themselves, preferably are selectively adjustable to balance the bag in single-shoulder and dual-shoulder carrying modes.

    • A portable golf data system includes a golf data system unit. The system unit includes a processor which is communicatively coupled to a non-volatile memory configured to store a firmware. A display is communicatively coupled to the processor. A near field communication component is communicatively coupled to the processor. A navigation receiver is also communicatively coupled to the processor. At least one user entry device is communicatively coupled to the processor. The at least one user entry device is configured to allow a user to control the portable golf data system. At least one NFC tag is configured to be mechanically coupled to a golf club and to be read by the near field communication component. A method for automatically logging a use of each golf club of a plurality of golf clubs is also described.

    • The present invention provides an approved golf club alignment system. The invention includes a putter head. The putter head includes a flat club face, a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface has a cylindrical recess therein with a side wall and a circular bottom. Preferably, the side wall and bottom are in contrasting colors. The top of the cylindrical recess includes a lip with an inside diameter which is smaller than the inside diameter of the inside cylindrical wall. Therefore, when the golfer's head is properly over the putter head and the putter is level with the ground in all directions, the lip of the recess obscures the side wall of the cylinder. The golfer sees only the bottom circular surface. Because the side wall of the cylinder and the bottom surface are made of contrasting colors, if the golfer's head and club are not aligned properly, the contrasting side wall will be visible.
