摘要： The present disclosure provides cam activated wire termination assemblies for electrical wiring devices. The electrical wiring devices include a cover and a base. The base has a wire chamber supporting a wire termination assembly. The wire termination assembly includes a wire fastening member and a conductive member. The wire fastening member has a cam surface and is rotatable between an open position and a securing position. The conductive member is positioned in close proximity to the wire fastening member such that a gap is provided between the wire fastening member and the conductive member when the wire fastening member is in the open position. When the wire fastening member is rotated from the open position to the securing position, the cam surface rotates to reduce the size of the gap between the wire fastening member and the conductive member.

摘要： The present disclosure provides descriptions of electrical box assemblies for supporting heavy fixtures, such as ceiling fans, and facilitating electrical connections to the fixtures. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box that allows a connection between the box and electrical conduits and a connection, e.g., a weatherproof connection, with a housing of the fixture. The box has an open front face to house electrical connections between the fixture and wires supplying electrical power to the box via the conduits. The box has a bottom wall and an open front face. A reinforcement member fits within the electrical box and includes a panel shaped to conform to at least a portion of the bottom wall and one or more standoffs extending toward the open front face of the box. When the reinforcement member is positioned within the box, mounting holes in the bottom wall of the box and reinforcement member are aligned to allow the box to be attached to a building structure.

摘要： A power system including a load terminal, a sensor, and an electronic processor. The load terminal is configured to electrically connect to a load device. The sensor is configured to sense an electrical characteristic of the load device. The electronic processor is configured to receive, via the sensor, the electrical characteristic of the load device, supply power, via the load terminal, to the load device, discontinue supply of power to the load device when the electrical characteristic of the load device crosses a predetermined threshold, and enter a standby mode upon discontinuing supply of power to the load device. Wherein when in standby mode the electronic processor, at predetermined time intervals, determines if the load device crosses the predetermined threshold a second time.
