摘要： A pipette with an adjustable dosing volume comprises a housing connected to at least one seat configured to releasably hold a pipette tip. A displacement device is positioned within the housing and configured to aspirate and discharge liquid from the pipette tip. A stroke rod is coupled to the displacement element and configured to be longitudinally displaced relative to the housing to displace the displacement device. A catch sleeve is rotatably mounted within the housing and is connected to the stroke rod. An adjusting sleeve configured to engage a transducer shaft that is rotatably mounted within the housing and comprises a countershaft of a gearbox that is configured to be shifted between different shift stages. Each shift stage comprises different gear ratios between a rotational speed of the adjusting sleeve and a rotational speed of the catch sleeve. The different gear ratios enable coarse volume adjustment and fine volume adjustment.

摘要： A centrifuge includes a swing rotor. Rotor arms of the swing rotor have recesses into which hangers of the swing rotor at least partially swing in a swung-out state. As a result, the centrifuge container and thus also the centrifuges are more compact, because the swinging-out requires less space. An inertial mass of the swing rotor is reduced due to the recesses provided therein, whereby energy consumption, primarily when starting the centrifuge, is significantly reduced.

摘要： A centrifuge (10) and a method for preventing the ignition of combustible tempering media in centrifuges (10) after a crash of the centrifuge rotor are presented. Ignition is prevented by the release of a protective gas in the event of a crash. More precisely, the released protective gas forms a flow that displaces the oxygen, distributes the escaping tempering medium and fundamentally changes the momentary ratio of the concentration of oxygen to tempering medium in such a manner that no ignition can take place either inside or outside the centrifuge (10). This means that combustible tempering media can also be used without safety concerns within the scope of controlling the temperature of centrifuges (10).

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for coating a solid support which is suitable for being used in cell culture applications. The method comprises a step in which a solution of a carrier protein, which comprises attached thereto or as a part of its amino acid sequence at least one cell function- modulating peptide sequence, is heated to at least 50° C. and incubated same under conditions which result in the formation of soluble carrier protein aggregates comprising between 2 and 1000 protein molecules. Subsequently, the protein aggregates are brought into contact with the solid support under conditions that allow for the non-covalent adsorption of the aggregates to the support. The invention also relates to a coated solid support having non-covalently adsorbed on its surface at least one of the above-mentioned aggregate of carrier proteins aggregates.
