摘要： A container for the shipment and display of a food product includes a four-sided, collapsible, corrugated plastic sleeve that is selectively enclosed by a pair of opposing plastic trays. Each tray includes inner and outer flanges which are formed along the periphery of a planar plate in a spaced apart relationship and together define a continuous groove dimensioned to receive an open end of the sleeve. The inner flange includes a tapered interior surface which widens the groove towards its distal end to facilitate the process of aligning and inserting an open end of the sleeve therein. A series of projections, each semicircular in lateral cross-section, are formed onto the outer flange and are dimensioned to fittingly protrude through corresponding slots formed in the sleeve to retain the container in its assembled state during the process of packaging and transporting the designated product.

摘要： A cable reel for retaining a continuous length of cable is preferably constructed using an inexpensive plastic material, such as corrugated plastic. In one embodiment, the cable reel includes a hollow tubular core with a set of outward radial tabs integrally formed at each of its ends. A single, disc-shaped, interior support flange is mounted within the interior of the core in circumferential contact therewith to provide structural rigidity. Additionally, on each end of the core, an annular inner flange and a disc-shaped outer flange are disposed in coaxial alignment with one another against opposing surfaces of its corresponding set of radial tabs and are fixedly secured together as part of the assembly process. The multi-flange construction enables the thickness, diameter and/or material properties of the ends of the cable reel to be adjusted, as needed, to accommodate the strength and dimensional requirements of the intended application.

摘要： A collapsible container is assembled from a scored sheet of material. In one arrangement, the container is configured to allow for ease of disassembly. For example, a base of the container includes a pair of opposing end walls that include an outer end wall panel coupled to the base and an inner end wall panel coupled to the outer end wall panel. The inner wall panel includes set of tabs that engage corresponding openings defined by the base and a flexion portion that allows the inner wall panel to flex relative to the base. The outer wall panel defines an opening that is substantially aligned with the score line. To disassemble the container, a user applies a load through the opening and against flexion portion. The load causes the inner wall panel to fold thereby releasing the tabs from the openings.

摘要： A hinged-corners unitary collapsible wood cleated crate for packaging heavy goods with a tubular body engaged to a base and top frame. The tubular body is formed of a pair of opposing side frames and a pair of opposing end frames, which frames each have a pair of horizontal rails connected to a pair of vertical side slats at respective overlapping aligned distal ends. Each frame includes at least one diagonal cross-member extending between and attached to the pair of horizontal rails. The side frames and the end frames join together in alternating spaced-apart sequence by a plurality of hinge plates that interconnect one of the pair of vertical slats in one of the side frames with one of the pair of vertical slats in an adjacent end frame. The hinge plates are planar sheets of a weather-resistant material, which are scored to allow the tubular body to knock-down for storage and shipping, and unfold to form a volumed body for packaging heavy goods held on a base. The body receives a top frame, and staples secure the body to the base and the top frame.

The insert is made from a corrugated cardboard blank having preformed score and cut lines which enable the blank to fold into a generally rectangular box having enlarged end panels that support the box in a position which is spaced away from all adjacent structures. There is a V-shaped fold between the box and each of its end panels to provide greater rigidity and further strength. Tab ends are positioned between the box and the end panel to help absorb a shock in any direction. The corrugated cardboard automatically assumes a desired end-product configuration responsive to four simple folding motions.
