摘要： In order to provide enhanced performance from fletching, an integral or slidable stabilizer is operatively associated with an arrow shaft. The stabilizer in either form includes a plurality of radial vanes each of which imparts aerodynamic force to the shaft so as to cause the arrow to roll or "spin" when the arrow is in flight. In the preferred embodiments of the invention, the radial vanes of the stabilizer have a cross section in the form of an airfoil to thereby induce the roll or "spin."

摘要： In order to ensure rapid and effective arrow shaft positioning, without interfering with intended flight trajectory, an arrow rest assembly includes a support for an arrow in proximity to a handle riser portion of a bow. The arrow support includes a body member disposed in a plane generally parallel to a plane defined by the bow and a bowstring on the bow. The body member has a surface for supporting a shaft of the arrow. It also is mounted to the handle riser portion of the bow. The body member has a pivot point spaced from the shaft supporting surface. The mounting is associated with the body member at the pivot point. With this arrangement the arrow rest assembly is such that the mounting accommodates pivotal movement of the body member within the plane of the body member about the pivot point from an arrow supporting position to an arrow passage position.
