    • A sliding mechanism for a cellular phone includes a low-profile base provided on one surface with a central recess and a pair of parallel elongated sliding slots located at two lateral sides of the recess; a supporting bracket slidably connected to the surface of the base with the recess; and a plurality of flat elastic members each having a first and a second telescopic element respectively pivotally connected to the base and the supporting bracket. The base is enclosed in a plastic material through insert molding to have a slim body that enables a reduced overall thickness of the cellular phone. And, the flat elastic members allow the supporting bracket to smoothly slide relative to the base in a balanced manner.

    • In a method for inquiring real-time travel-related information using a mobile communication device having satellite navigation software installed therein, the following are included: the mobile communication device sending a short message containing target GPS coordinates of a destination to a travel information server at an operation and maintenance center (OMC) of a mobile phone system; and the travel information server calculating based on the target GPS coordinates to locate a target mobile phone BTS that is closest to the destination, obtaining real-time weather information dynamically collected by weather monitors at the target mobile phone BTS, and transmitting the weather information along with separately collected visitor density information in connection with the destination to the mobile communication device.

    • A driving safety warning device includes a central processing unit (CPU); an acceleration sensor for sensing an acceleration value of a car having the driving safety warning device installed therein, and sending the sensed acceleration value to the CPU for calculating, so as to obtain a driving speed value; and a gyro sensor for sensing a deviation angular speed value of the car in moving, and sending the sensed deviation angular speed value to the CPU for calculating. When the obtained driving speed value exceeds a preset value, a driving safety warning function is actuated; and when the obtained deviation angular speed value exceeds a preset maximum safety deviation angular speed value or exceeds a preset safety deviation angular speed value for wandering car while a timer is enabled and a reverse sway occurs when the timer is counting, a warning sound is emitted to remind the driver.

An electronic component is mounted on the circuit board.
