摘要： A dual-in-line switch package includes a base, a slider, and a cover. The base comprises the in-line-terminals and on its upper part the corresponding contact pins. The slider contains at least one contact having teeth to contact the pins. A handle is used for moving the slider to its different positions. The cover has an opening for access to the upwardly extending handle. The base has a projecting detent on its upper surface. The slider has located on its bottom surface a pair of detent receiving recesses. The detent and recesses comprise a detent assembly which retain the slider in one of two operative positions.

摘要： A sub-miniature, two position, double pole switch has flat, terminals of rectangular cross section with projecting portions, bent at right angles to the portions inside the case, and having blades of reduced dimensions for insertion in the circular apertures of a modular printed circuit board. The inner portions of the flat terminals, and the dual rockers are separated by an insulator member having an elongated tongue groove for slidably receiving a tongue on the insulated tip of the spring pressed handle. The tongue and groove means prevents arcing, twisting and uneven closing of the switch.

It includes a pair of lamp chambers spaced from a third lamp in rectilinear alignment. When both of the juxtaposed pair of chambers are lit as a dual pilot light a perfect condition exists. Any other combination of lighted lamp chambers indicates an unsafe condition in the circuitry.

The switch case is enclosed in a second case of plastic with a hardened layer of epoxy in the space between cases and across the open bottom of the second case to substantially encapsulate the switch. An annular bead of hardened epoxy seals the exposed, projecting, handle housing at its base in its aperture in the second case to complete the seal.

Instead, the rocker arm is of uniform cross section except for a pair of lateral grooves in the under face, each on an opposite side of a central depression, for the tip of the actuator rod. A U-shaped support means, electrically connected to the common central terminal, has a pair of upstanding, legs, or blades, each arranged to be received in one of the grooves to prevent longitudinal sliding of the contact arm, when tilted.

Each switching element includes first and second terminals and stationary contacts centered on the pole plane. A movable contact engages a first stationary contact and is held in position by a boss on a cover actuator. An actuator, captured in the cover-actuator, includes a cam that engages an intermediate portion of the movable contact to move the second end of the movable contact into engagement with the second stationary contact to complete an electrical circuit. The cam and movable contact are configured to produce a detent action as the actuator moves between open and closed positions.
