摘要： Achieved is a motion picture reproducing apparatus at low price (being little increased in price even though the number of specifications are increased) capable of receiving motion picture streams complying with various specifications such as those containing programs that operate on different pieces of middleware, and reproducing motion pictures. A middleware storage unit 43 stores a plurality of different pieces of middleware. Based on program identification information contained in a motion picture stream received by the motion picture reproducing apparatus, an applicable middleware selecting unit 40 selects middleware applicable to a program contained in the motion picture stream. A middleware reading unit 41 reads the selected applicable middleware from the middleware storage unit 43. A middleware executing unit 42 executes the read middleware.

摘要： An image compositing apparatus of the present invention composites a video image and a plurality of graphical images together into a final composite image. The image compositing apparatus includes a first obtaining unit, a first compositing unit, a calculating unit, a second obtaining unit, and a second compositing unit. The first obtaining unit obtains the graphical images and composition information that includes an image compositing order and is used for calculating the composition ratios of the images to the final composite image. The first compositing unit composites the graphical images together into one composite graphical image according to the composition information. The calculating unit calculates the composition ratio of the video image to the final composite image according to the composition information. The second obtaining unit obtains frames of the video image. The second compositing unit composites the frames with the composite graphical image using the composition ratio of the video image.

摘要： An object is to provide a method for making it possible to exchange information between a local host and a remote host even if necessary software is not previously prepared. A local host (1) requests a service administration host (4) to start a desired remote service. In response to the request to start the remote service, the service administration host (4) selects remote hosts (2) that are capable of sharing the remote service with the local host, and returns information as to the remote hosts (2) to the local host. Based on the returned information as to the remote hosts (2), the local host (1) selects a remote host (2) with which it desires to share the remote service, and instructs the remote host (2) to download, from the service administration host (4), software for sharing the remote service. The remote host (2) downloads, from the service administration host (4), necessary software as instructed.
