摘要： A disclosed printer includes a frame; a thermal head attached to the frame; a platen roller drive motor attached to the frame; a reduction gear train attached to the frame and configured to reduce the speed of rotation generated by the platen roller drive motor; and a platen roller detachably attached to the frame and configured to be driven by the platen roller drive motor via the reduction gear train and to feed paper while pressing the paper against the thermal head. The frame is produced by press-forming sheet metal and includes a horizontal plate part, a backboard part rising vertically from a back edge of the horizontal plate part, sideboard parts rising vertically from corresponding side edges of the horizontal plate part, and a projecting part protruding outward from an edge of one of the sideboard parts and forming a surrounding part of a gearbox.

摘要： A printer device having a detachable thermal head, the thermal head being precisely positioned relative to a platen, whereby the printer device is capable of printing characters or the like, of a stable quality, on printing paper having different thickness'. A head module of the printer an attachment member detachably attached to a main frame; a movable support member movable relative to the attachment member; and a thermal head fixedly supported by the movable support member. The movable support member is connected to the attachment member via a plurality of head springs, and has a head positioning protruding portion configured to engage with a head positioning recess portion of the attachment member. The recess portion is formed as a groove which is generally straight, whereby the movable support member and the thermal head 44 may be straightly displaced relative to the attachment member only in the extending direction of the groove.

摘要： A simple and compact rotary cutter unit capable of detecting a home position of a rotary cutter, and a printer device having the rotary cutter unit. A radially outwardly extending fin-shaped detected member is arranged on an end portion of the rotating blade opposed to a second gear of the rotating blade. A photosensor is arranged within a main frame of the printer device so that the photosensor may detect the fin-shaped member when the rotating blade is positioned at the home position. The fin-shaped member and the photosensor are not positioned outside relative to both ends of the rotating blade in relation to the direction of the rotational axis of the rotating blade. Therefore, it is not necessary to increase the width of the printer device due to the presence of the fin-shaped member or the photosensor, whereby the printer device may be compactly constituted.
