    • An air conditioner of the present invention includes temperature distribution detecting means 12 for detecting a temperature distribution in a room 1, refrigerant leakage detecting means 13 for detecting refrigerant leakage, air-blowing means 14, air-blowing control means 17c for controlling air-blowing means 14, and wind-direction control means 17d for controlling a wind direction of the air-blowing means 14. When the refrigerant leakage detecting means 13 detects refrigerant leakage, the air-blowing control means 17c and/or the wind-direction control means 17d disperses a leaked refrigerant in a direction different from inhabitants 3 and a heat source apparatus 4 detected by the temperature distribution detecting means 12 thereby enhancing the energy efficiency and safety when a flammable refrigerant is used as a refrigerant.

    • Disclosed is a purging apparatus for conducting an air purge required when an equipment such as a split type air conditioner is installed or repaired, and to a to-be purged apparatus and a purging method: a to-be purged apparatus having a to-be purged room with two or more valve openings capable of connecting to a main circuit or to a circuit other than said main circuit; and a purging apparatus having a replacing gas container into which a replacing gas to be exchanged for a to-be purged gas is previously charged and a gas collecting container for collecting gas including said to-be purged gas, one of said valve openings of said to-be purged room and said exchanger gas container can be connected with each other, and the other valve opening of said to-be purged room and said gas collecting container can be connected with each other; said method comprising the steps of: sending said exchanger gas in said exchanger gas container, thereby pushing out said to-be purged gas in said to-be purged apparatus; and collecting said to-be purged gas into said gas collecting container.

    • A refrigerator controller employs a non-azeotropic mixture refrigerant and a compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor hear exchanger, a fractionator, an overhead condenser provided on the top of the fractionator, a first flow control valve, a throttle, and an indoor heat exchanger which are connected in the form of a ring. The controller further employs a circuit at a lower part of the fractionator returning to the bottom of the fractionator through a second flow control valve and a reheater, and a circuit returning from the overhead condenser to the top of the fractionator, thereby controlling the openings of the first and second flow control valves by the output signal of indoor and outdoor heat exchanger temperature detectors, an indoor temperature detector, and an indoor temperature setting device through a flow controller. In this manner, a wider control range of refrigerating capability can be realized. Thus a high separation effect for mixed refrigerant components is obtained while controlling a safe and optimum refrigerant cycle.

    • An explosion preventing device for a refrigerating machine using a flammable refrigerant according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises a mesh member which covers a part or component or a control section. The mesh member has a mesh size which is equal to or smaller than a quenching distance for the flammable refrigerant used. By covering the part or the like which may generate electric sparks, with the mesh member having the mesh size equal to or smaller than a quenching distance, as described above, even if the sparks are generated to produce flames, when the refrigerant is leaked, the flames cannot be propagated to the outside of the mesh member. Therefore, even if the sparks are generated when the refrigerant is leaked, a serious explosion or fire cannot be caused.
