摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device; a fixing device; a first conveyance passage downstream from the fixing device in a sheet conveyance direction; a second conveyance passage downstream from the fixing device and communicating with the first conveyance passage; a sheet reversing member to reverse a conveyance direction of the sheet to the second conveyance passage; a divider to switch a route of the sheet between the first conveyance passage and the second conveyance passage; and a sheet detection sensor disposed downstream from the fixing device and upstream from the divider. The first conveyance passage includes a sheet outlet from which the sheet is ejected outside the apparatus. The apparatus further includes a ventilation passage communicating with an outside, to guide air from the outside to pass the sheet detection sensor and enter at least one of the first conveyance passage and the second conveyance passage.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including a body side connector and a removable unit removably inserted in the apparatus body. The removable unit includes a unit side connector configured to engage with the body side connector in conjunction with insertion of the removable unit into and from the apparatus body in an insertion direction and disengage from the body side connector in conjunction with removal of the removable unit from the apparatus body in a removal direction. The apparatus further includes a first holder and a second holder. The first holder holds the body side connector and restrict the body side connector from moving in the insertion direction and the removal direction relative to the first holder. The second holder holds the first holder and restrict the first holder from moving in a direction different from the insertion direction and the removal direction.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a driving device, an external temperature detector, an internal temperature detector, a work amount detector, and control circuitry. When a temperature detected by the external temperature detector is lower than a temperature threshold, the circuitry shifts to a first restriction state based on a work amount and temporarily stops drive of the image forming device for a period every time the amount reaches a threshold. When the temperature is not lower than the temperature threshold, the circuitry shifts to a second restriction state based on an internal temperature. In the second state, in a case where the internal temperature is higher than a first threshold, the circuitry performs an intermittent operation of repeating a pause state and a printing state, until the internal temperature falls to be equal to or lower than a second threshold being lower than the first threshold.

摘要： A sheet feeder of a friction pad separation type, which can be included in an image forming apparatus, includes a feeder body, a rotary feed body, a separation body, a holder, and a leaf spring. The rotary feed body is disposed in the feeder body and feeds a recording medium along a sheet conveying direction. The separation body is fixed to the feeder body while facing the rotary feed body. The separation body separates the recording medium with the rotary feed body. The holder has a rotary shaft and holds the separation body while being rotatably supported by the rotary shaft. The leaf spring has a flexible deforming part that contacts an area adjacent to the rotary shaft and a line of action of a pressing force of the flexible deforming part passing close by the rotary shaft.
