摘要： Novel 4-(2'-pyridylamino)phenylacetic acid derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, a halogen, a lower alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or nitro, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, a halogen, or a lower alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 is hydrogen, a halogen, or a lower alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.4 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.5 is hydrogen or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OR.sub.6 wherein R.sub.6 is a lower alkyl having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and being substituted with 1 or 2 hydroxy groups, provided that R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 is not 4-halogen, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and a process for the preparation thereof, pharmaceutical composition of said compounds, and a method of using said compounds as anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents. They have excellent anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities with an extremely weak ulcerogenicity in the gastrointestinal tract. Some of the compounds have superior inhibitory activity against chronic inflammation mediated by cellular immunity.

摘要： Novel dibenz[b,f]oxepin and dibenzo[b,f]thiepin derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is an oxygen or sulfur atom, each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or a 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl group; provided that when R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, the group ##STR2## is a group other than a 1-carboxyethyl group; and when X is a sulfur atom, both R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are methyl groups;and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of said compounds in which R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom. Compositions of said compounds, processes for the preparation of said compounds, and a method of using said compounds are also provided. These novel compounds have excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities.

摘要： A metal oxide catalyst carrier particle has a center portion and an outer skin portion each containing a first metal oxide and a second metal oxide. The center portion and the outer skin portion are different in composition. The mole fraction of the metal of the first metal oxide is higher in the center portion than in the outer skin portion and the mole fraction of the metal of the second metal oxide is higher in the outer skin portion than in the center portion. The second metal oxide is selected from the group consisting of rare earth oxides, except for ceria, and alkali earth metal oxides. In addition, platinum is supported on the metal oxide catalyst carrier particle, thus forming an exhaust gas purification catalyst.

摘要： A phased-array ultrasonic transducer for an ultrasonograph is provided in which electrical signals are supplied to ultrasonic transducer elements to generate ultrasonic beams for diagnostic scanning. The ultrasonic transducer comprises a number of ultrasonic transducer elements arranged in the form of an array, a signal electrode plate coupled to the signal-supply side of the transducer elements and connected to a transmitter-receiver circuit by means of signal wires, and an earth electrode plate connected to the earth side of the transducer elements. The earth electrode plate is divided into a plurality of split earth electrode plates corresponding to ultrasonic transducer groups each including a plurality of adjacent transducer elements so that the split earth electrode plates are grounded independently. Thus, clearer and more accurate ultrasonic images can be obtained without undesired signals attributed to any other transducer elements than the transducer element in operation being produced or artifact appearing on the ultrasonic image.

摘要： A regeneration apparatus comprises a heater 2 which heats a catalyst 1 at the time of stopping fuel supply to an engine, a pump 4 which supplies an oxidizing gas or a reducing gas to the heated catalyst 1 and a switching valve 3. In the oxidizing step, catalytic poisons, for example hydrocarbon, which are absorbed on a noble metal are oxidized and removed. The particles of the noble metal become oxidized particles as pure oxide and the like. After the oxidizing step, the reducing step is carried out. In the reducing step, particles of the noble metal are reduced and re-dispersed on the support simultaneously and as a result, the particles of the noble metal become fine. Thus, a deteriorated catalyst can be regenerated without interrupting the use of catalyst and also without deteriorating the drivability.

摘要： In order to provide a damping material exhibiting an excellent vibration damping property in a wide temperature range, according to the present invention, in a magnetic composite type damping material constructed by bonding an adhesive elastic sheet containing magnetic powder to a constraining plate such as a metal plate by using an adhesive, the adhesive elastic sheet is made of a composite material consisting of rubber elastomer, adhesive resin, plasticizer, magnetic powder, etc.Since not only is the damping material having a construction described above attracted by magnetic force against a vibration source, it also is provided with a superficial adhesiveness, and the excellent vibration damping property is exhibited in a wide temperature range by a synergistic effect of the magnetic force and the adhering force.
