    • The invention relates to a pedal simulation device for simulating the reaction behavior of a pedal, in particular of a brake pedal of a vehicle brake system, comprising a cylinder, a piston disposed displaceably inside the cylinder and coupled to the pedal and delimiting a working chamber inside the cylinder, a resetting element which, upon an actuation of the pedal, exerts a resetting force on the pedal, and a modelling device, which is fluidically connected to the working chamber, for influencing the reaction behavior of the pedal. In the invention, for achieving the reaction behavior it is provided that, upon an actuation of the pedal, by means of the modelling device a vacuum, which is arising or has arisen in the working chamber, is built up.

    • Brake equipment comprising a hydraulic, single- or multi-circuit braking system of a land vehicle having an electric drive for executing a regenerative braking of the land vehicle by means of at least one electric machine in or on the drive train of the vehicle and also a braking of the land vehicle by means of at least one wheel brake. A brake pedal and at least one sensor are used to detect a braking requirement of the driver. A master cylinder is used to supply pressurized hydraulic fluid into at least one brake circuit that supplies at least one wheel brake in accordance with the braking requirement. Associated with at least one brake circuit is an electrohydraulic control unit comprising at least a first connection for hydraulic fluid and at least a second connection for hydraulic fluid. An electronic control unit controls components of the electrohydraulic control unit such as a hydraulic pump and switching valves as a function of a braking requirement and/or sensor signals that represent ambient quantities or characteristic quantities coming from the braking system. A regenerative brake unit has at least a first connection for hydraulic fluid and at least a second connection for hydraulic fluid and is hydraulically coupled into at least one of the brake circuits between the master cylinder and at least one of the wheel brakes. The regenerative brake unit is actuated by the electronic control unit to bring about the effect that, in the event of a regenerative braking operation, the volume of hydraulic fluid corresponding to the braking requirement is not supplied into the wheel brakes, but is stored.

    • A braking force generator includes a primary piston displaceable in a housing to enclose a primary pressure chamber. A pedal simulation device is connected to the force input element. A pedal actuation detection device detects the pedal actuation and an actuating force booster stage. During normal operation the force input element is mechanically uncoupled from the primary piston, and the actuating force booster stage exerts an actuating force on the primary piston. In the event of failure of the actuating force booster stage the force input element is workingly connectable to the primary piston such that a contact extension extends from the primary piston towards the force input element. During normal operation the contact extension is held by a release gap at a distance from the force input element and in the event of failure of the actuating force booster stage the force input element after travelling the release gap is applied workingly against the contact extension.
