    • A dispenser for dispensing sheet product from a supply to a user is disclosed. The dispenser includes a feed device for dispensing a length of sheet product, an energy storage device in operable communication with the feed device, and a user interface in operable communication with the energy storage device. The user interface is biased in a first direction to a rest position by the energy storage device and is responsive to energy from the user to move in a second direction opposite the first direction and transfer energy to the energy storage device. The energy storage device is in operable connection with the feed device and applies the transferred energy to generate motion of the user interface in the first direction toward the rest position to actuate the feed device and dispense the sheet product.

    • A gravity-feed dispenser for a stack of sheets such as inter-folded napkins includes a generally rectangular housing provided with a front wall, a back wall, two sidewalls and a lower portion as well as a funnel portion coupled to the lower portion of the housing provided with a generally convergent profile such that a front wall of the funnel portion extends downwardly and inwardly with respect to the front wall of the housing, a rear wall of the funnel portion extends downwardly and inwardly with respect to the rear wall of the housing and two sidewalls of the funnel portion extend downwardly substantially in alignment with the sidewalls of the housing. A dispensing aperture defined by the funnel portion of the dispenser has an elongate portion extending substantially from one sidewall of the funnel portion to the other sidewall of the funnel portion thus defining an elongate axis of the aperture. The elongate axis of the aperture is generally parallel to the front wall of the housing as well as generally parallel to its rear border. The aperture is configured so that the elongate portion thereof extends upwardly from its rear border to the front wall of the funnel portion of the dispenser such that folded absorbent sheets are presented at the front of the dispenser.

    • A paper towel dispenser includes a housing with an inner chamber configured to support a paper supply and a dispensing aperture for dispensing paper from the paper supply. The paper supply includes a side that is formed by superimposed edge portions of paper from the paper supply. An indicator mechanism is affixed to the housing within the inner chamber and is disposed adjacent the paper supply. The indicator mechanism includes an indicator operably connected to a release mechanism. The indicator is movable between a retracted position and an indicating position. The release mechanism is pivotally biased away from the housing and is releasable in response to the paper supply being reduced below a predetermined amount. Upon release of the release mechanism, the release mechanism causes the indicator to move to the indicating position.

    • Apparatus for dispensing paper from rolls which feeds continuously, roll to roll, and does not require extra procedure to bring stub roll into position. The apparatus has device for holding and positioning at least first and second rolls of paper with respect to each other; device for dispensing paper from the first roll; device for dispensing paper from the first and second rolls simultaneously when the first roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper, device for positioning the depleted first roll for replacement without the necessity of removing the second roll; and device for dispensing from the second and replacement rolls simultaneously when the second roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper. The apparatus also has a proximity sensor, which senses when a hand is placed near the dispenser, and thereupon dispenses a set amount of towel. The dispenser incorporates device for dissipating static charges to a local ground.
