    • Provided is a digital circuit for a passive RFID tag. The digital circuit for the passive RFID tag includes a construction that is divided into blocks, which receive a command, analyze and execute the command, and generate a reply signal respectively, according to the flow of data. Thus, the digital circuit transmits a clock signal to each of the blocks at a rate optimized for the block such that the blocks sequentially operate without any additional controller. The digital circuit for the RFID tag is constructed such that the respective blocks operate at different points in time. This precludes any useless operation of hardware, thus reducing the entire power dissipation.

    • Provided is a voltage multiplier converting an alternating current (AC) electromagnetic wave into a direct current (DC) voltage signal in a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, and including means for obtaining voltage gain, the means being connected to an input terminal through which the AC electromagnetic wave is input. The voltage multiplier can generate a greater DC output voltage than a conventional voltage multiplier at the same input power. Therefore, a desired DC output voltage can be obtained at low input power, so that an effective operating distance can be increased. In addition, since the voltage multiplier is easily integrated into a tag chip using a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process, the size of the tag does not increase and it is easy to package an antenna and the tag chip.

    • Provided is a receiver of a passive radio frequency identification (RFID) reader, which eliminates a leakage signal from a reception signal comprised of a RFID tag response signal and the leakage signal. The receiver includes a phase adjustment unit adjusting a local oscillation signal received from a frequency synthesizer to have a phase difference of a predetermined angle from the leakage signal. Since the phase adjustment unit adjusts the phase difference, the leakage signal input to the receiver of the RFID reader can be eliminated. Consequently, the performance of the receiver can be enhanced.
