    • In an antenna structure in which a base is mounted in a ground region on a circuit board, the base having formed thereon a driven radiating electrode and a parasitic radiating electrode, the parasitic radiating electrode causing multiple resonance at least in a harmonic resonant frequency band of the driven radiating electrode, capacitance loading means for loading a capacitance to a harmonic-mode zero voltage region of the driven radiating electrode is provided.     • A liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate and a counter substrate that face each other with a liquid crystal layer therebetween. The array substrate includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an alignment sustaining layer. The first electrode has a comb-teeth shape. The second electrode has a comb-teeth shape, faces the first electrode, and includes a protruding portion protruding from the first electrode in a direction where comb teeth are arranged. The alignment sustaining layer is formed above a surface of the array substrate being in contact with the liquid crystal layer and gives liquid crystals a pre-tilt to a direction in which the second electrode protrudes from the first electrode, in a direction in which the comb teeth are arranged.

    • An antenna device includes a signal-band separating circuit that is interposed between a communication antenna and a ground portion that are disposed on a circuit board. The communication antenna is connected to a communication circuit by a signal line via a signal-band separating circuit. A telecast-receiving antenna is connected to a broadcast circuit by a signal line. The signal-band separating circuit transmits signals in a frequency band for communication between the communication antenna and the communication circuit, and transmits signals in a frequency band for telecasts between the communication antenna and the ground portion. The antenna length (electrical length) of the telecast-receiving antenna is extended by adding the antenna length of the communication antenna in addition to the antenna length of the ground portion, thereby improving the antenna gain during telecast reception.

    • A counter substrate for liquid crystal display includes a transparent substrate, a black matrix, and stripe transparent electrodes. The black matrix divides a plane surface of the transparent substrate into pixel or sub-pixel unit to form a light-shielded area and openings above the plane surface. The stripe transparent electrodes are formed into the pixel unit or the sub-pixel unit above the plane surface. The black matrix includes a frame pattern including two sides facing each other in parallel in the pixel or the sub-pixel unit, and a linear central pattern which is parallel to the two sides of the frame pattern and is formed at a midsection of the pixel or the sub-pixel unit. The transparent electrodes are each parallel to the two sides of the frame pattern and the central pattern and are located symmetrically to the central pattern.
