摘要： Systems, apparatuses, and methods estimate the distance between a player and a ball by transmitting a chirp (sweep signal) to a radio tag located on the ball. During the chirp, the frequency of the transmitted signal is changed in a predetermined fashion. The radio tag doubles the transmitted frequency and returns the processed signal to a transceiver typically located on the player. The currently transmitted frequency is then compared with the received frequency to obtain a difference frequency from which an apparatus may estimate the distance. The apparatus may simultaneously receive the processed signal from the radio tag while transmitting the sweep signal.

摘要： A sport ball may include a casing that forms an exterior surface of the sport ball. The casing may incorporate a plurality of joined panels, including a closure panel. In addition, the ball may include a backing layer located radially inward of the closure panel, the backing layer extending beyond a peripheral boundary of the closure panel and at least partially overlapping with one or more panels adjacent to the closure panel. The backing layer may also include an opening located radially inward of the closure panel, the opening being smaller than the surface area of the closure panel. Also, the ball may include a bladder located radially inward of the backing layer, the bladder including a valve for introducing fluid into the ball, the valve extending through the opening and through the closure panel.

摘要： A method for determining a dimension in a motor is described. By applying Fourier analysis, a sequence of terms is obtained. Since the fifth harmonic is the most undesirable term, the minimization of the fifth harmonic term will make resultant waveform closer to sine wave. Based upon the above, a determination of an angle &dgr; is described, wherein the fifth harmonic term of the sequence of terms is minimized. An electric motor having a rotor and a set of slot on said rotor surface having a set of magnets with a width &dgr; along the circumference of said rotor surface is described. The width &dgr; is determined by a method that includes applying Fourier analysis thereby a sequence of terms is obtained. Since the fifth harmonic is the most undesirable term, the minimization of the fifth harmonic term will make resultant waveform closer to sine wave. Based upon the above, a determination of an angle &dgr; is described, wherein the fifth harmonic term of the sequence of terms is minimized.
