摘要： Disconnecting switch assemblies are located in a triangular configuration on an inverted cross-shaped frame adapted to be secured to the top of a power line pole. Each switch assembly includes a pivotally mounted insulator carrying a switch blade for engaging a stationary contact carried by a stationary insulator. The pivoted insulators at the ends of the transverse piece are interconnected by a shaft which is connected by a link to the pivoted insulator at the top of the upright piece to effect conjoint switch operation. The transverse and vertical pieces are tubular and the shaft and link are enclosed thereby. Dead end connections adjacent the switch assemblies permit dead ending the respective conductor thereto. Each switch blade and the respective switch contact are so positioned that the switch blade cannot gravitate to the open position when closed and vice versa. Each switch contact is carried by an insulator that is mounted at the distal end of a support bracket in angular relation to the respective pivoted insulator.

摘要： Loop feeder switches have switch blades connected to loop conductors and stationary switch contacts commonly mounted with stationary contacts of fuse isolator switches the blades of which are connected to drawout fuses. Ground switches connect the loop feeder switch blades to ground. Manual operators for the switch blades all are located at one end of the metal enclosed support frame in one embodiment. In another embodiment the manual operator for the fuse isolator switches is remote from the other switch operators. Arc extinguishing structures for the switch contacts cooperate with the respective switch blades.

摘要： A high voltage center-break disconnecting switch has a resistor and short-circuiting contact assembly connected in series circuit relation and mounted in tandem for operation by one of the rotatable insulators in such fashion that the resistor is short circuited except during the closing movement of the switch blades. At that time the contacts are opened and the resistor is connected in the circuit to limit the inrush current. The contacts are closed as the switch blades are swung to the fully closed position to bypass the resistor when the switch is closed. A weatherproof housing encloses the resistor, short-circuiting contacts and operating mechanism therefor to protect them from contamination by the atmosphere and from rain, sleet, ice and snow.
