    • The disclosure relates to a container and method of manufacturing a manually openable container of a collapsible type for fluid contents, including making a container with a defined compartment from a web of material. A top corner portion of the container is designed to define a product channel and an opening initiation is formed across the product channel, along which opening initiation a tab is to be separated. The opening initiation includes a starting portion, a stop portion and a terminating portion. The starting portion requiring a first separating force, and the terminating portion requiring a second separating force. The distance between the starting portion and the terminating portion forms the stop portion, which requires a third separating force. The third separating force is greater than the first and the second separating force.

    • Described is a pack comprising a carrier material such as for example cardboard, which is coated with a thermoplastic material, for liquids, comprising a tube with a bottom and a cover which has a pouring spout, in the sealing region of which are disposed, beside sealing areas with a high adhesive force, sealing areas with a low adhesive force for the purpose of peeling the sealing areas apart.In order not to be dependent on agents which impair the sealing effect and on the disposition thereof on certain regions in the cover, and in order for the tooling to be simplified, the invention provides that the sealing area (40') with a low adhesive force is formed by a pattern of raised surfaces (6) which alternate with areas (5) disposed therebeside and at a lower level. In the apparatus, there is provided an impressing roller with counter-pressure roller, wherein a line, disposed on the web of pack material, of successively disposed sealing areas can be passed through between the rollers, in the direction of movement of the web.

    • A container of a collapsible type for liquid contents, comprising a compartment (4) which is defined by two opposite side walls (2) and a bottom wall (3) and whose volume depends on the relative position of the walls (2, 3). The container comprises a product-enclosing portion (19) which is formed by said walls (2, 3) and which in a filled state of the container extends from said bottom wall (3) to a surface level (20) of the contents held in the container.
