    • The invention is an apparatus (10) for treating inverted nipples and/or the collection of NAF. The invention includes an assembly which creates an airtight seal upon attachment to at least an areola (16) of an inverted nipple (18) and by rotation of a part thereof draws a partial vacuum to apply an outward force to the nipple; and a syringe (26) including a curved longitudinal axis (28), the syringe being carried by the assembly and being in fluid communication with a chamber (24) of the assembly upon attachment of the assembly to at least an areola of an inverted nipple, the syringe including a plunger (30) which is sealed against an inner surface (34) of the syringe and is rotatable to move along the longitudinal axis relative to the chamber which moves the plunger within a syringe body to expel air from the syringe body away from the chamber upon rotation of the plunger in a first direction and to aspirate air from the chamber upon attachment of the apparatus to the breast surrounding the nipple upon rotation in a second direction opposite to the first direction to create a partial vacuum within the chamber to evert the nipple.

    • A quality control phantom for a computed tomographic imaging instrument, such as a nuclear magnetic resonance scanner, is provided for the on-site calibration and standardization of image slice offset and angulation so as to maintain and insure proper operation. The phantom includes a cylindrical slab-like cast acrylic casing or body having a frustoconical groove formed therein. The groove is filled with a known material to effect a signal from the instrument. A scan taken by the NMR instrument across the frustoconical groove at an angle perpendicular to the central axis of the groove yields a circular image. The method for determining the image slice offset includes the step of relating the diameter of two such circular images so as to verify the distance one such image is from the other along the central axis of the groove. A scan taken by the NMR instrument across the frustoconical groove at an angle other than perpendicular to the central axis of the groove yields an elliptical image. The method for measuring the image slice angulation includes the step of comparing the distance from the groove to the central axis of the groove along the major axis of the elliptical image to the radius of the groove at the point where the major axis crosses the central axis of the groove.

    • A method of classifying radar emitters includes the steps of: (a) receiving pulses from multiple radar emitters over a plurality of consecutive first time intervals; (b) identifying pulses in each of the plurality of consecutive first time intervals corresponding to one or more first pulse trains using a first algorithm and de-interleaving the identified pulses from the plurality of first time intervals; (c) associating received pulses not identified and de-interleaved using the first algorithm with a plurality of consecutive second time intervals; and (d) identifying further pulses in each of the plurality of consecutive second time intervals corresponding to one or more second pulse trains using a second algorithm different from the first algorithm and de-interleaving the identified further pulses from the pulses associated with the plurality of consecutive second time intervals. Each consecutive second time interval is formed from two or more consecutive first time intervals.
