    • A roof tile installation assembly having a plurality of battens, each having a front end portion and a back end portion, and defining a channel between the front end portion and the back end portion, and at least one roof tile having a front end and a back end, the back end having a downwardly protruding flange.     • A mold is described for the molding of substantially isotropic isocyanate-based polymer foam buns. The mold is a box mold which has sidewalls of which at least one pair disposed in parallel relationship is adapted to move outwardly when subjected to pressure exerted by the expanding foam during the molding operation. The outward movement of the sidewalls is controlled by stops provided on the periphery of the mold floor, said sidewalls being free to slide over the surface of the floor. The lid of the mold is supported in sliding engagement with the upper edges of the sidewalls. The mold and the process of fabricating foam buns therewith is particularly suitable for use in situations (e.g. operation in the field) in which it is not possible or practicable to employ continuous bunstock machines. The mold is relatively inexpensive and readily dismantled for transportation to a fabrication site.

    • A two component polyurethane adhesive and a method of bonding construction materials to various construction substrates. The adhesive being the reaction product of two separate components that are mixed together immediately prior to application upon dispensing onto a substrate. The first part of the adhesive, referred to as the "A-side," may be either an NCO terminated prepolymer or a polymeric MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate). The second part of the adhesive, referred to as the "B-side," is a blend of rigid, elastomeric, and flexible polyols and extenders. The adhesive formed by mixing the A-side and B-side components, is a frothing foam that has a consistency such that it does not run or drip when applied to the substrate, that expands upon application to the substrate surface to fill voids or imperfections, that collapses when the material to be bonded is placed in contact with the adhesive, and that has a rapid cure time.

    • An improved dispensing gun for receiving and positioning a pair of aerosol containers and mixing and discharging the contents of the containers. The gun includes a combination cover unit and trigger plate pivotally affixed to a portion of a frame unit. The cover unit and trigger plate being positioned between an open, can loading position, a normally closed position and a contents discharge position. The gun also has a trigger carried by a handle and pivotably mounted for engagement with the cover unit and trigger plate. A mixing unit is also provided by the gun which includes a main body unit, a dispensing nozzle connected to the main body unit and a pair of removably positioned inlet elbows connecting the main body unit with outlets of associated aerosal can valve units.

    • A dispensing system for mixing at least first and second components and dispensing an expanding foam is disclosed. The system includes separate vessels, each containing a foam component, and a dispensing apparatus. The dispensing apparatus includes a cartridge assembly mounted on a body assembly. The cartridge assembly includes a mix chamber and first and second ports, each for supplying a foam component to the mix chamber. A pair of adjusting valves is mounted to the cartridge assembly with each valve operable to adjust the flow of each foam component to the mix chamber. A pair of hoses connects the vessels to the cartridge assembly. Each adjusting valve is a variable orifice device in the cartridge assembly having the capability of varying the flow area of the port. The present invention also includes a method for adjustably controlling, at the dispensing apparatus, the flow of each of the first and second components to the mixing chamber to alter their ratio therein. Additionally, the throughput of the dispensing apparatus can be controlled by the variable orifice devices.
