    • A compressor assembly including a compressor mechanism, a compression chamber and a discharge chamber. A discharge port provides fluid communication between the compression chamber and the discharge chamber. A valve seat circumscribes the discharge port. A discharge valve member having a valve head, a biasing section and a valve support is provided and may be formed out of a single integral part. The valve head is engageable with the valve seat. A non-threaded coupling member may mount the valve support to the cylinder block of the compressor mechanism. A guide member engageable with the biasing section of the valve member may also be provided. The valve head may include a second concave surface positioned opposite the surface engageable with the valve seat and have an effective area larger than the discharge port area. The valve head and valve seat may each be partially spherical surfaces having a common radius.

    • A compact rotary compressor having a motor with a stator and a rotor wherein the rotor includes an integrally formed part defining an internal compression chamber and an integrally formed vane extending radially inwardly within the compression chamber. A roller is rotatably mounted and eccentrically disposed within the compression chamber with the vane being engaged with the roller whereby rotation of the rotor also rotates the roller. The rotor and roller may each be mounted on a stationary shaft. End plates located on the opposite axial ends of the rotor seal the compression chamber and one of the ends plates may be rotatably mounted on a stationary support structure. One of the end plates may also include a discharge valve assembly and noise attenuation chamber as part of a discharge fluid line providing communication between the compression chamber and a passageway located within the stationary shaft.

    • A rotary compressor for compressing a working fluid includes a housing having an oil sump. A stationary shaft extends into the housing and includes a longitudinal passage. The longitudinal passage has an oil inlet in fluid communication with the oil sump. A working fluid inlet receives the working fluid. A motor has a stator and a rotor. The rotor is rotatably mounted on the shaft within the housing and includes an internal compression chamber in fluid communication with the longitudinal passage. A roller is rotatably mounted on the shaft and eccentrically disposed within the compression chamber. The roller is coupled to the rotor such that rotation of the rotor rotates the roller and thereby compresses the working fluid within the compression chamber.
