    • The invention concerns a method for varying and regulating the speed of a motor powered from a voltage source via a triac, comprising, at least once every alternating voltage interval, the following steps: computing a surface value (SI) corresponding to the current absorbed (I(M)) in a time window (FT) defined between a current switching-on time (ti) and a following current switching-off time (tf); computing an interval of the next triac-blocking time (t′); and controlling the starting of the triac when the blocking time (t′) has elapsed. The invention is useful in particular for household electric and house automation appliances operating at variable speed.

    • An electric household appliance for processing foods comprises a main body including an electric motor unit and its control elements, at least a working accessory comprising a tool designed to be driven by the motor unit and a safety device including a first member housed in the appliance main body and a second member connected to the accessory. The member is a transceiver and the second member is a transponder, the transceiver and transponder being designed to be inductively coupled by a radiofrequency or microwave electromagnetic field when the accessory is installed on the appliance body. Preferably, the transponder connected to the accessory comprises a power circuit derived from the electric power induced in the transponder antenna and additional safety elements for deactivating the powering circuit.

    • The invention concerns a method for controlling the duration of heating and/or cooking an undetermined amount Z of a given food product (5) placed in an oven chamber (1) comprising a heat source (2) and a sensor (4) for picking up a signal characteristic of the heating and/or cooking state of the food product.
