    • A method and system for automatically switching cellular telephone calls, in which a cellular telephone monitors the level of its battery power, and when the battery power level dips below a predetermined threshold, the cellular telephone sends a signal to a mobile switching center, which will automatically transfer the call to an alternate phone to continue the call or leave a message. The same system could be used to transfer the call if the cellular telephone goes out of service, for example by leaving the service area, hitting a “dead zone” of service, or having a technical problem with the equipment, but in these circumstances, the signal for initiating the transfer will originate with the mobile switching center, since the cellular telephone will not be in position to send further instructions. If the cellular telephone user has a replacement battery, the system could be set to first attempt to return the call to the original cellular telephone after a predetermined delay period, so that the call is not lost, and, if unsuccessful, then to a secondary number for either continuation of the call or taking a voice message from the sender if the mobile user is not near the alternate phone.

    • Ring-back content is provided to a mobile video caller willing to call a recipient in a process in which: the ring-back content is stored, a first communication leg is established between an intermediate network element and the mobile video caller, a second communication leg is established between the intermediate network element and the recipient, and the delivery of the ring-back content to the mobile video caller is started between the initiating of the mobile video call and answering to the call by the recipient. The delivery of the ring-back content may be lead by an early connect message to delay charging.     • A method in a communication system is disclosed. In the method a procedure for setting up a communication link between a first user equipment and a second user equipment via a communications network is initiated. Information regarding at least two modes of communication that can be used for communication via the communication link is signalled between the first and second user equipment. An indicator regarding a mode to be used for the communication is also signalled between the first user equipment and the second user equipment. After the signalling steps, a procedure for setting the mode of communication in accordance with the indicator is initiated in at least in one of the user equipment. According to an alternative embodiment signalling for reserving a possibility for at least tow different communication modes occurs between elements of the communication system.
