摘要： A filter is provided for treating carbon-based particles in exhaust gas discharged from a diesel internal combustion engine, etc., said filter providing in addition to a high throughput capacity, excellent durability, and good economic and maintenance properties, and a device for treating carbon-based particles in exhaust gas having a high throughput capacity, the regeneration of which is easy. This filter is obtained by cutting an end face of a coiled material that is obtained by winding a sheet of a high-temperature resistant stainless steel having resistance heat-generating properties to produce fibers, gathering the thus-produced fibers to form a web, sintering the web, heat-treating the sintered web to form an alumina film on the surface of the sintered fibers, and optionally supporting a catalyst on the alumina film. In the device electrodes are fixed to the free ends of the filter and, when necessary, an electric current is applied from an electric current-supplying device to the electrodes to cause the filter to generate heat.

摘要： The method of making the metal fiber sintered body includes making a coiled material by coiling a thin sheet of Fe--Cr--Al--La, Fe--Cr--Al--Y or Fe--Cr--Al--Ce stainless steel; making a tow of Fe--Cr--Al--La, Fe--Cr--Al--Y or Fe--Cr--Al--Ce continuous fibers by lathe turning an end face of the coiled material at a tool feed speed of from 5 to 40 .mu.m/rev; extending the tow in a width direction and cutting the tow with a roller type cutting assembly to form Fe--Cr--Al--La, Fe--Cr--Al--Y or Fe--Cr--Al--Ce stainless steel fibers having a fiber length of 20 to 200 mm; feeding the Fe--Cr--Al--La, Fe--Cr--Al--Y or Fe--Cr--Al--Ce stainless steel fibers having the fiber length of 20 to 200 mm to a conveyor; dropping the stainless steel fibers onto the conveyor and dispersing the stainless steel fibers by making an air current act on the stainless steel fibers; transporting the resulting sheet-shaped accumulation on the conveyor and compressing it to form a web and sintering the web. The stainless steel fibers have a thickness of from 7.5 to 180 .mu.m, a width of from 10 to 170 .mu.m and are from 17 to 21% by weight Cr, from 2.5 to 6.5% by weight Al, from 0.02 to 0.25% by weight of La, Y or Ce in addition to their iron content.

摘要： This is one-component type dry developer for an electrophotography which is improved on humidification ability, and consists of mixture of toner with a particle size of 5.about.50 (.mu.) and hydrophobic flow agent. The flow agent is made by covering inorganic, organic, metallic or alloy powder with thin film of non-hydrophilic synthetic resin. By using electric conductive material as core and making a range of resin film thickness so as to cause tunnel effect of electron or ion, the flow agent which has non-hydrophilic property and electric conductive property is obtained.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for producing an inorganic biomaterial, according to which, there can be obtained an inorganic biomaterial excellent in strength and biocompatibility, having a structure in which portions constituted by crystallized glass or crystals of calcium phosphate excellent in bioactivity are dispersed in a skeleton or matrix constituted by crystals of partially stabilized zirconia and/or alumina showing high strength. Accordingly, the inorganic biomaterial is very useful as biomaterial for artificial bones, dental implants, etc.

This inorganic biomaterial, having biocompatibility and a high strength, is useful as an implant material for artificial bones and dental implants.
