    • A liquid droplet discharge head includes a plurality of discharge unit parts, each of which extends in a first direction. The discharge unit parts are arranged in a second direction intersecting with the first direction. Each of the discharge unit parts includes: a nozzle column configured by a plurality of nozzles; a liquid droplet discharge surface; a common flow path; a plurality of pressure chambers; a damper chamber extending in the first direction; a damper wall arranged between the damper chamber and the common flow path; and a pillar part connecting the damper wall and a separate wall that is different from the damper wall in the damper chamber. A position of the pillar part of at least one discharge unit part of the discharge unit parts in the first direction is deviated from a position of the pillar part in the other discharge unit part.

A ratio of a length of each of the narrowing portions in a liquid flowing direction with respect to a length of corresponding one of the pressure chambers in the liquid flowing direction is 0.34 or more, wherein the liquid flowing direction corresponds to a direction in which the liquid flows through the narrowing portions.

    • A method of ejecting at least one droplet of an ink through a nozzle by applying a drive pulse signal having pulses to an actuator which changes a capacity of an ink chamber, for forming a dot corresponding to one picture element with a result of ejection of the droplet, the dot to be formed being selected from among a medium-volume dot constituted by the ink of a predetermined amount, a small-volume dot constituted by the ink whose amount is smaller than the predetermined amount, and a large-volume dot constituted by the ink whose amount is larger than the predetermined amount. In the method, where the small-volume dot is formed, the droplet is ejected by a first drive pulse signal as the drive pulse signal set for the small-volume dot to eject the droplet at a predetermined ejecting speed. Further, where the medium-volume or large-volume dot is formed, the at least one droplet is ejected by a second drive pulse signal as the drive pulse signal which is set for the medium-volume or large-volume dot, which has the same voltage as the first drive pulse signal, and which has a plurality of pulses. The second drive pulse signal is determined such that a pulse width of each pulse and a time interval between each pulse are equal to respective prescribed values for making an ejecting speed of the droplet for forming the medium-volume or large-volume dot equal to the predetermined ejecting speed of the at least one droplet for forming the small-volume dot.
