    • An ID Card copy service (ID Copy) enables a photocopier system user to scan and render the front and back of an ID onto a single side of a sheet of paper. The service can place and center both sides of an ID onto a single page template that is rendered. A photocopier system adapted for ID Copy services includes an ID copying software module; a user interface combining standard copy features with an ID copy service; memory adapted for storing images of front and back sides of IDs captured by the photocopier following selection of the ID service feature; a microprocessor adapted by the ID copying software to enable user selection of the ID copy service feature using the user interface, user scanning of images of both sides of an ID, and photocopier rendering of the images on one side of a single sheet of paper.

    • Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, apparatus, and systems for an efficient user interface implemented on a touch screen for a digital reprographic machine. In particular, the touch screen may display various objects, such as icons or command buttons. In response to a user selecting one of these objects, a pop-up window is then provided on the touch screen. The pop-up window may comprise a list box or menu and its contents may be determined by the functions corresponding to the selected object. The pop-up window may remain open until the user selects one of the items, or touches an area of the touch screen that is outside of the pop-up window, or after a certain amount of time has elapsed, such as 10-15 seconds. When the user touches an item in the pop-up window, the pop-up window may close and a corresponding operation may be performed by the digital printing machine.

    • A digital camera system includes an image capture module and a remote control module. The image capture module includes an image capture system and a first wireless communication system.     • A N-up calculator graphical user interface (GUI) is provided for performing N-Up printing. The graphical user interface includes configurable objects for specifying: 1) the size of the page, 2) the dimensions of the image, and 3) the number of images to be printed on each page (N-up). The controls on the GUI can include page size, reduction/enlargement percentage, final image size—height/width, Number up, and other related controls. The manipulation of any one of the controls may affect the others according to a set of rules. These rules determine which objects are held constant and for which values are automatically calculated, and the object automatically configured. The rule-set can be manipulated by selecting from a list of modes or options such as “Conserve Paper,” “Fit as Many Images as Possible” or “Maximize Image size” or by locking certain controls and freeing others.

The computer receives a print command input for printing a document. In response to the print command, the document is routed over the Internet to a service bureau for printing. Routing may involve activating a communications browser program in the computer and transmitting the document to a server associated with the service bureau. An Internet print web page including information identifying print job options and a print order form is retrieved from the server and displayed on the computer screen.
