The contacts each comprise a base portion and a pair of arms received in the pin holes of the sliding plate. The actuator includes a frame and a number of actuating portion for driving the sliding plate to move in a transversal direction. The sliding plate includes a number of projections adjacent to contacts. Each projection and the pair of arms of an adjacent contact together define a receiving space and located at three sides of the receiving space, respectively.

The terminal has a movable arm and a static arm, the lid has a number of actuating portions downwardly extending from the bottom thereof to drive the sliding member. The actuating portion of the lid drives the sliding member to move in both a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, so that the movable arm moves not only in the longitudinal direction but also in the transverse direction to avoid interference with a static arm of an adjacent terminal.

摘要： An electrical connector for connecting a flat circuit includes an insulating housing defining an insertion slot for receiving the flat circuit, a plurality of terminals arranged in the housing in parallel relationship, a shielding shell surrounding the insulating housing and an actuator. The terminals have contacting projections extending into the insertion slot. The shell provides a plurality of spaced spring fingers extending into the inserting slot and establishes a receiving path between the contacting projections and the pivot beams. The actuator is mounted on the electrical connector for movement between an open position lifting up the spring fingers of the shielding shell and allowing insertion of the flat circuit into the inserting slot and a closed position allowing the pivot beam restore and pressing against the flat circuit toward the contacting projections.

摘要： An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of passageways, and a number of contacts receiving in corresponding passageways, respectively. The contacts comprises a first base portion having a first retaining portion for securing the contact in the passageway, and a second base portion having a second resilient arm extending therefrom.
