摘要： A bit rate converting apparatus suitable for a DVB-H signal which does not have a function of rewriting a PCR value comprises means (42) for receiving a TS signal of a DVB-H standard for storage in accordance with a first bit rate, means (46) for sequentially generating NULL packets in accordance with a second bit rate, and means (45) for outputting a packet which forms part of the stored TS signal from the means (42) and the NULL packet from the means (46) in accordance with the second bit rate. The apparatus may further comprise means (51) for receiving the TS signal of the DVB-H standard to remove NULL packets from the TS signal. Alternatively, the apparatus may further comprise means (61) for receiving the TS signal of the DVB-H standard to pass only a packet representative of a program which constitutes the TS signal, and a PSI/SI packet.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image reader, an image forming unit, a sheet discharge device, a sheet receiver, and a sheet moving mechanism. The image reader provided substantially at an upper portion of the image forming apparatus reads an image of a document. The image forming unit disposed substantially below the image reader through some space forms an image based on image information read by the image reader and transfers the image onto a recording medium. The sheet discharge device discharges the recording medium on which an image is formed. The sheet receiver provided in the space between an upper portion of the image forming unit and a bottom portion of the image reader receives the recording medium discharged by the sheet discharge device. The sheet moving mechanism moves the recording medium that is discharged onto the sheet receiver by the sheet discharge device in a desired direction.

摘要： In an image forming apparatus, a toner image formed on a photosensitive drum is primarily transferred onto an intermediate transfer belt. The toner image on the intermediate transfer belt is secondarily transferred onto a transfer material by a secondary transfer roller in contact with the intermediate transfer belt. A relation A>B>C is satisfied, where A is a width of the intermediate transfer member, B is a width of the secondary transfer member, and C is a width of the transfer material. The intermediate transfer member includes a patch-pattern forming area that is not contacted by the secondary transfer member. The image forming apparatus includes a reflection-type photosensor that detects a patch pattern formed in the patch-pattern forming area.

The process controller is configured to instruct the image forming mechanism to perform an image forming operation and a control operation of image forming process conditions. The control operation includes at least two phases each executable at an individual time.
